The general manager is a great guy who will bend over backward to help people out. With that said, Sobeys has basically destroyed the Safeway chain and brand. NEVER have anything that is on sale, and this has been going on for a year now. Why even bother sending flyers out and wasting money on advertising with fake sales. My suggestions are to start at Walmart and The Place. Whatever you have not found can finally be found at Safeway potentially..... as long as it is not on sale..... pfff... Update: New management has finally addressed several issues, but inventory still seems to be a problem here.

The floral department at this safeway is A++. The lady who works here is so kind and makes beautiful arrangements. The flowers were so fresh and packaged with care to travel.

Great selection for the size of the town. FRIENDLY staff...good chicken/wedges/onions rings etc for hot lunch .. cant complain.. solid 4 out of 5.. nice that u get some discounts when u get gas here to! /EDIT AFTER spending some time shopping here (over half a year) I lowered my rating to 3 stars because the stock is always low on something or completely out of stuff..one time there wasnt even any fresh lettuce... other then that...its alright.

People complain about the long lines but theres not many other places to go grocery shopping other than the place or walmart so the ppl in Fort are stuck with a few options be happy these stores are atleast open and running still on a side note tell your workers to go above and beyond for customers was looking to see if I could specifically place an order on something and the workers didnt even seem to care enough and just kept restocking

Good selection with Starbucks too!The lady in the produce section helped me find exactly what I was looking for!Emily at the check out was so nice in the express lane!Shelves are normally well stocked, except when they are switching their product to the sobeys items! And moving stuff but if you can’t find something I’d be sure to ask! It’s too bad the deli has such short hours.

As far as grocery stores go, Safeway is pretty decent! I love that they didn't enforce masks for a while as they never really worked and are mostly just dehumanizing but then, I don't live in fear.Otherwise, good selection of most things. The produce selection is good, nice selection of salad dressings, good quantities of things like rice and flour.
