Mimico Estates

Mimico Estates is one of the best places I've lived in my life. I really wished that I could have found it many years ago. I think many people, like myself in the beginning, thought the area was a bit sketchy due to the age of the building etc.... but it's not at all ... it's surrounded by families and really amazing down-to-earth people.The buildings are older boutique buildings - right at the water - and the units are extremely large and quiet compared to anything else you'd find in the city. I never heard my neighbours through walls or floor as the building is built like a tank. Most units are still on radiant heat, as well, so winters are so warm you'd have to open windows sometimes - and, of course, radiant heat has the added bonus of saving on heating bills. My heating bills were zero and now that I'm in a place with gas, it can be up to a cost of $200/mo.The property management staff are very efficient and friendly and on stay on top of all the regular maintenance and issues that come with managing an older complex. Not a big fan of their choice of upgrades in the units and common areas from an environmental perspective but there's no convincing some people to spend a little more to save the planet so that's not unlike any other building... just a sad fact :( They cover the beautiful hardwood and marble floors with cheap vinyl flooring.... very strange... since it becomes garbage far faster than hardwood ever could. I wish more companies would have the desire to role model good business and behaviour on behalf of mother earth... there is more than ONE bottom line to consider... and we are reaching the planets' bottom line very quickly.They do routine checks of everything, including safety and bugs, and have a really great maintenance staff and contractors.I can't say enough about Mimico Estates... there is nothing like walking out your door and being on a path by the lake with all the preservation of wildlife. Watching the thousands of birds every morning was a great way to start the day. If you choose to live there... you will never want to leave. Most who start off there in an available unit just move to another more desirable unit of their choosing.... not many wish to leave.

Beautiful location, apartment was fully renovated and cleaned before we moved in! The rental staff are incredibly kind and the application process was simple and fast. So happy to call Mimico estates my new home!

Living for 5 years at Mimico Estates has been a great choice. If you like to walk, run or bike, there is a Lakefront path outside the building. I can also walk to a grocery store, pharmacy, convenience store ,bank and optometrist. The Staff here are helpful and accomodating. There is an online portal to submit your requests for repairs and repairs are usually done promptly. There is also a 24 HR emergency number to call. The building I live in is old and lacks modern amenities. But it has the SIZE that no modern condo has! Tall ceilings, large windows and lake views are standard. As I write this I am looking at the sun rise over Lake Ontario. Can't ask for a nicer way to start the day.

I've been living at Mimico Estates for a year and the experience it's been perfect. I got here in a completely renovated apartment, with a new kitchen and bathroom. The management team is very attentive, and they really care about their renters. They solve right away any problem you could have in your apartment, through a ticket system on their website.The location couldn't be better, with great connections to the public transportation (easy connections to the Royal York subway or 501 bus to downtown). Mimico waterfront it's 1min walking from the apartments and it's gorgeous every time of the year. Also NoFrills really close and some really nice restaurants in the area.

I'm so grateful to have found a decent place that is affordable in a nice location. It's safe to sit outside in the landscaped garden and simply enjoy the peace without fear unlike many other areas of the GTA. Steps away there is the lake where believe it or not a group of lovely swans swim around on the water. Who could ask for more. I'm sure that no place is perfect but it is pretty nice here overall.

I have been living at mimico estates for 16 years and we have not had a property manger who was hands on! They recently hired a new property manger and i had the pleasure of meeting him.I have been having on going issues with pigeons for over 5 years now and no one took the time to help me . Allan Altamirano undertook the problem and was able to resolve it for me.He is the first property manager who takes the time to listen tenants concerns.We have gone through many mangers and i hope that he will remain at Mimico Estates for a long time! He is a pleasure to deal with and I just wanted to recognize that.

I am very glad that my daughter and I were lucky to meet with your company. You helped us with the most important thing at a very difficult time for us. You gave us a home. We really like our apartment, very good location right on the lake. It is quiet, warm and cozy here. The company provides service at the highest level. I've recently moved into the Mimico Estate complex and my experience with the management staff has been nothing short of respect. From the beginning of when I came to view the apartment until now they have made sure my requests, for maintenance and a change of an appliance, have been met in a timely and orderly manner. Every staff member working in the office, Allan, Xhuljano, Adjola and Xhulja, and all the maintenance crew have been direct, honest and have followed through with what they are able to fix and what is not in their authority to change. Thank you for making the move into my new apartment hassle free.

I have been living here at Mimico Lakeshore for 28 years and I must say how grateful I am with the new changes throughout our complex and exeptional service from the Property Manager and Lease Specialist team. I appreciate the new carpets, new entrance doors and would like to recognize YVE the cleaner for keeping our building tidy and clean.Thank you :)
