SCAM!!! This housing agency is a scam. It charges students well above the market price and keeps their deposits. They do not provide services mentioned in the descriptions and make your stay as difficult as possible. Try to avoid as far as possible. I would rather go with craigslist than this scam agency.

Stay away from this racist scamster. She rips off international students of their deposits and never answers their calls or responds to texts. It's been years and I still haven't gotten my deposit back. PURE SCAM

Like every other review has said, it's scam. I've been trying to get my security deposit back for almost 8 months now. Marilyn won't return my calls, my emails, my LANDLORD'S emails, and is avoiding the registered mail that I've sent. I know at least 5 other people who had the same experience. Go literally anywhere else to look for housing, save yourself

Marilyn found us an excellent place at an excellent price, everything was set up and ready to go when we arrived, and she has responded to every circumstance with professionalism, promptness, and dazzling efficiency. Can't imagine having done this move without her!

I arrived to Vancouver having trouble looking for a place to stay for an entire year, but I luckily found a place to stay thanks to her.Prices are a bit cheaper than others I've seen, you get services like wifi internet and laundries in them and both houses I stayed on had friendly owners. The rooms themselves were big enough to enjoy being there, with the kitchen and living room being where I ate and chilled with my roomate at times.Damage deposits can happen as long as you get in contact with your landlord before so Marilyn gets the greenlight for it. It helped I still own a Canadian Bank Account to get the deposit back, but I bet there's some way to get the money in an international bank given the time.If I had one complaint to give, is that my second landlord (the one that lives in the property that's pointed at in google maps) delivered the room to me in a dirty state and expected it to be completely clean before I left so there might need to be more inspections and cleaning checks. The first landlords were pretty good and gave me the room in perfect conditions, atleast.

Marilyn Bell is an absolute HORRIBLE human being and a massive scam artist. She has ZERO people skills and no idea how to run a business. She is an absolute embarrassment for Canadian small businesses. I had to threaten legal action against her as she unlawfully held back money that was to be refunded to me. She does not answer phone calls, return emails, or voicemails once she has your money. She takes FULL advantage of international students and rips them off. I warn anyone looking into her services, stay FAR away from her or else you will be in for a rude awakening and guaranteed to lose money and not get back what is rightfully yours.STAY FAR AWAY!

When using communication in the name of your business you'd better be good at it they failed miserably in my opinion

Everything has gone smoothly. The communication has been great since even months before I arrived to my place. The spot I got is not pricy considering it is completely furnished and has a laundry room. The location is great and the place matched the pictures I was sent before my arrival.She has always been super helpful and replies to my emails in a timely manner. Great option for students that are looking for a place to stay during their time here.
