So disappointed! Used them many years ago and they did a fantastic job.I’ve been emailing and calling (leaving messages) since last fall - it’s now May. Have heard nothing from them. Disgusting customer service!!

Jessica and her team were Amazing! My landscape job was large and complex. The site preparation alone involved the removal of a large golf putting green and a large deck along with its old concrete foundation. Jessica managed the careful scheduling and teamwork needed to integrate with many others including my plumber for the septic system integration and access, with my irrigation company for the extensive in-ground sprinkler system and with my wrought iron company for the placement of a 4' deep sono tube foundation into her/my flagstone patio for my custom pergola. From my pre-existing landscape blueprints, Jessica worked to implement the plans in consultation with me and my designer to fine tune every detail. Jessica, my designer and myself met at the stone quarry to choose the exact right stone for my patio (color, size, thickness) and Jessica's expertise was a key to choosing the stone that would ultimately give me the look I so desired and that matched my limestone home. 3 massive trees were installed along with large curved and stone edged garden beds all according to design and careful consultations to tweak to my preferences. Her stone patio crew were over the top, they placed each massive patio stone over and over until the design was perfect, and integrating the sono tubes to within an inch with clever integrated stone markers at their dead center. Jessica's quote was lower than a competitors quote and she stuck to her price. Jessica personally chose the large trees and many of the shrubs and her careful eye meant for an even more impressive result. The project was nothing short of awesome and a very special thanks to her stone workers! One VERY HAPPY customer here:). My gardens and patio speak for themselves!

Paul sent a crew of three to take down two pines trees in our yard. The guys were a delight to work with. They were prompt, courteous and very professional. I was pleased to see that they used safety gear for this job. We would not hesitate for a moment to have Western Landscape back to any task. Made arrangements to have a visit and quote done by the company. Representative from company (Jessica) missed our first meeting entirely, when we called to follow up she apologized and we rescheduled. She was late showing up for our rescheduled meeting (by half an hour) but was friendly and seemed to have some great ideas. She told us she would be in touch in no more than 2 weeks with a quote and rough plan…2 weeks came and went and again once we followed up, she responded that she would have something to us by the end of that week. Once again, she didn’t meet this deadline. We once again emailed and called to follow up leaving several messages, all of which were ignored and not responded to. It’s been almost 2.5 months and still nothing from her when her or the company. Both have been up and gone like a fart in the wind! See ya never!

Did not go visit Landscape business, but, loved drive on Canoe Lake Road.

***INCREDIBLY INCOMPETENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!!***One star for being willing to install a LiveRoof on a private residence.But: 1) It took 3 months to receive the formal quote which was double the verbal estimate); 2) The quote was never itemized as a scope of work document; 3) The Manager didn't order enough plant modules because of an ability to read the engineer design for the roof; 4) Both the Manager and Owner failed to return urgent calls on three occasions; 4) Nobody came out for a pre-work site inspection before commencing the job; and 5) Plants were not ordered in time for the job, so it ended up being delayed by nearly three weeks. Within all that were headaches and incurred costs. For everyone who has had a prior good experience with WLS: This is not Paul Vanden Engel's company anymore -- buyer beware!!

I contacted Jessica and her company end of November '22 to get a head start on planning a front yard makeover for spring/summer '23. She came out to my house mid December to go over some ideas and look at the space. When she left I was feeling confident and excited about plans going forward. Contacted her again beginning of Feburary to try and set up another meeting/chat about the project and getting some plans started. It took a couple of weeks to get a response from her. When she did respond she promised to have designs cost and scope.of work to me by the first week of March. That week passed and there was nothing. Tried contacting her again through email and phone but still no follow up for almost 3 weeks. Again there was another promise of getting designs plans etc within a week. It's been almost 6 weeks since the last promise to deliver something and nothing.Zero contact from her end. If you want to be ignored and brushed aside this is the company to contact. Customer service is horrible. Thanks for nothing.

Called twice for a quote for landscaping, maintenance and tree removal, each time I am told I will receive a call in the early part of the following week. This has never happened. Terrible customer service. Will never use. Would love to give 0 stars. Nicole H.

Last summer when I was new to the Kingston area I needed some trees and bushes trimmed on my new property. I found Paul and his Western Landscape Services through a google search and I picked them because they seemed professional with a nice website and an email that was not a gmail or yahoo address. We were not disappointed!The crew showed up when promised, they were professional and did an awesome job - so much so, that I hired Western Landscape Services to do a large project with the front of my house. This project turned out so well that we can wait to do the next step.Also there was a problem with one of the stone steps that was put in after this spring thaw - Paul came out to see it and it will be replaced this season. The point in all of this is that Western Landscape Services do indeed stand behind their work.
