Dollar Lake Provincial Park
I have avoided this park for years after going camping there when it first opened and was eaten alive my mosquitoes, but today we went back for a walk as part of the Walk The Waterway" challenge. The park has not aged well and except for nice new showers everything was looking a bit run down. Campsites are large but do not look well maintained. There were no staff on hand at all

A perfect placeWarm water, clean changing rooms and washrooms, ample parking spots. The only downside is that there is almost no signal in the area. But this is a telecom monopoly problem.

Beautiful park with two beaches. Open and wooded campsites. Many of the sites are unique due to geography or even the layout of the site. I keep a notebook with a list of cool sites I'd like to stay at next time. There are no hook ups at any of the sites at this campground. Visited the last weekend of September. There were a few campers but it was not crowded by any means.Sky at night is breathtaking.Firewood is $5/bundle and was dry.Cell service is poor here but who needs internet in their RV when there's a campfire outside.Good times.

So peaceful. I got to drive my bike around. Go paddleboarding. Lake is right there. Lots are HUGE. Can't wait to go back.

Awesome day at the beach. One of the easiest beaches to access. With physical limitations we need ramps around stairs like this beach has. Washroom was clean. There are lots of shade trees beside the beach for those of us that need it. Because it is inland it often is warmer than other beaches in the early part of the season. Yesterday it was the only one of eight beaches I checked that had sunshine and warm temperatures. Pictures taken from the little island that is next to the beach. Ate our lunch on the island. Beautiful scenery

We had a great time this past weekend at dollar like provincial Park. The washrooms were clean and the campgrounds were large and sparse. We camp rain or shine and the weather should never be a deterrent to enjoying the outdoors! I love sleeping in the hammock in the rain!

A small, but nice beach. Well maintained grounds with parking, changing rooms and bathrooms close to the beach. Definitely set up for families/children. Life guard on duty. Canteen on site. Beach is quite rocky but turns to nice sand just a bit into the water.

Dollar Lake Provincial Park is located in Wyses Corner, Nova Scotia. From Halifax it can be reached by taking exit 5A on HWY 102 and following HWY 212 or Old Guysborough Rd towards Middle Musquodoboit. Dollar Lake is the part of Dollar Lake Provincial Park. If you are lucky enough you may witness Snapping Turtles in the lake. The provincial park has well maintained main beach at the Dollar Lake and there’s another beach at Olivers Cove called Campers Beach on the same lake. The park offers public changing rooms, restrooms and a big parking lot. The park also has a well maintained camping ground. The entry to the beach side is free but not sure about the camping.

Big individual campgrounds with plenty of privacy between groups. There is easy access to washrooms as well and the facilities are clean. Plus you can see some amazing nature
