Scarborough Convention Centre

A great place for hosting weddings. The decoration was stunning, lots of space and colours. We always enjoy shooting weddings in this amazing venue, the staff is great and the couples are always happy with their choice!

Beautiful venue - clean and well maintained. Friendly staff and delicious food. I was there for a book launch and had a great time.

From the July 3rd wedding, I have experienced a lot of hassles in terms of the service and subpar food that caused lots of people indigestion, thus creating a high crowd of them entering washrooms, blocking the way for other people to get by and take a seat. Firstly, i would like to add to the fact that the driveway was extremely narrow and found it awkward to turn in. Secondly, the washroom was poorly maintained and had an offensive odor. Thirdly, there was very little variety of desserts and food given. For example, we were given custard and a gajar halwa for dessert. Moreover, the soda was extremely watered down and lacked the authentic soda taste you would get from a store bought soda. Not to mention, the glasses and plates were not properly cleaned. For example, glasses had streaks and appeared as if they were left with dirty fingerprints. Overall, your best bet would be to arrange your wedding ceremony at other banquet hall locations in the GTA. Please avoid this place, as based from the other 1 star ratings this place got, i believe that whoever is reading this should consider to never go here.

I had my wedding at Scarborough Convention Centre and I'm truly glad that we choose this venue! Everything was amazing, from the food, to the service, and the coordination! Varnan from Scarborough Convention Centre truly made it an easy process and went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect! Highly recommend this venue for all your special occasions!

Okay place for weddings and gatherings. I went for a dinner dance, but the sounds were very bad. Primary reason could be the layout. It's a long rectangular with the stage set at the centre of wider side.Food and services are good.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Varnan and his team displayed excellent professionalism, management and execution for both of our wedding and reception held at SCC. Varnan went above and beyond our expectations in every single aspect. This is the reason why i would recommend anyone to this banquet hall as everything was amazing! Thank you again Varnan and team, we appreciate everything you did to make our day special.

Located conveniently in Scarborough, the Scarborough Convention Centre is a great venue to host your big day. We have captured many weddings and receptions at this venue. From lighting to the height of the ceilings in the venue, you have flexibility with how you would like to decorate the space, making the photos captured even more beautiful. We love photographing events at SCC, as the staff are cooperative and kind.

We had our wedding on March 25th, 2023 and everything turned out exceptional! From the very beginning, Sen and his team communicated with us and made sure everything was to our liking. Sen gave us different options for backdrops and his assistant worked with us to choose our table theme Decors and other details. In addition, Sen made us feel at ease about catering options and connected us to a vinyl floor person who put our name on the dance floor. During the last few weeks before the wedding, Sen met with us through zoom (as we live in edmonton) to go through all the details and confirm everything was good to go. Many guests raved at how beautiful the hall looked and how grand the reception was. Thank you so much to Sen and the Scarborough convention team for a wonderful reception!

My brother’s wedding was earlier this month and everything went well. However, we were so disappointed with the fact that the hall didn’t have a ramp/ or any accessibility devices for people in wheelchairs to go to the manavarai. We pay a lot for the hall and it would be great if our elderly relatives and people on wheelchairs can easily go up and bless the couple (it could be anyone - including the couple’s parents - how can we as a society not take measures to include them in their children’s happy occasions?)- just two ramps on both sides of the stage is all you need - I’m sure there are government funds and most likely a requirement by the AODA (if not, it should be).Also, we left something important there but the hall doesn’t have a Lost & Found box for those who had an event to come check after the event. As most of the wedding related items are rented, it would be ideal to have a box - to check if anything is was misplaced - it can be held for a week in a small box and can be thrown out after a week - which could be disclosed when we sign an agreement for the hall.We had a wonderful event, and had a great experience with the party call administrative team, but we just want to make sure that weddings and other family functions are for everyone and not just for abled bodies. Making these additions will only enhance the overall experience of your customers and community.Thank you!
