Got the Grapefruit Yuzu Jasmine tea and an almond croissant" there's a fancier name but essentially that's what it was. And it was so good! I think the drinks are pretty standard. But the croissant pastries were really really good! I think it would have been better had I gotten a coffee to go with the pastry!They also had a wide selection of really pretty and cute desserts!"

Very modern interior and atmosphere. Lots of seating however it was way too busy to sit down even though we went at a random time. There is a great selection of drinks and pastries but I did find it to be a bit overpriced. We ordered the butterfly latte and a Ferrero Roche box cake and both were good.Special thanks to the employees, one made my drink but seemed super stressed with the volume of orders. Maybe some more staff would help in keeping the atmosphere as chill as it looks.

I am so happy this exists in Ottawa! It reminds me of cafés in Montreal. I loved the desserts! The Mango mousse confection was delicious as was the croissant au Nutella. My only gripe is the macarons. While tasty, they did have air pockets so the texture was a bit off. Very instagram worthy but as for a proper macaron they are not quite there…yet! I have every confidence they will only improve. That being said their flavour combinations are so interesting and absolutely worth the visit!! Also, the staff was helpful, kind, and took time to explain what things were. I really cannot wait to go back!

The ambiance of the bakery was cozy and inviting, with a comfortable seating area and lovely decor. Although the quality of the dessert was exceptional, the price was a bit steep.

After many attempts to find an empty table in this mysterious coffee shop on Merivale road , I finally got a spot.It’s a Euro- Asian fusion coffee and bakery place.I really liked the decorations and the design.The sweets looked amazing , exotic and pricy. They offer different choices of cold and hot drinks.The place is always busy but there were only 2 girls working like machines. One of them was really rude but I think this was because of the high work load.The washroom was amazingly designed but wasn’t that clean.I ordered a short mango cake and I was waiting for something amazing but I was disappointed. May be there are better choices.

Decent treats and the place is very cute. I'd like to go back and try again as service was just ok. Might have been an off day. They forgot to make our drink. People after us got their drinks first. Also, they served our food all on one tray, which made eating it a little awkward because the treats went right on to the tray, no plates. The space also has a sound issue. Although there were not very many people, it was quite loud.

I have visited this cafe on several occasions and have found most their pastries to be delicious. The basque burnt cheesecake, cheesecake tarts, croissants and buns have left an excellent impression. My friends and I did not enjoy the Lychee Rose cake box though and found the flavour to be overpowering. Their drinks, however, do not compare to the quality of other bubble tea stores in the area and are overpriced.I am assigning a three-star rating because a negative experience I had on an occasion where the owner approached my group of friends and I to caution us against bringing outside food into Dao Cafe. While I was the only member of our group without outside food, the owner directed a hostile stare at me. Given that this was our first instance of doing so, I did not feel that this treatment was appropriate.

Dao cafe has one of the most delicious pastries i have tried, their coconut and passion fruit tarte is superb, i have tried their pistachio croissant and it was top notch. I highlt recommend the place
