The food is so good! This unpretentious shop in a food court totally deserve the high rating it has.I ordered the Soto Betawi (creamy beef soup served with steamed rice). The soup was fragrant and delicious with tender pieces of beef and beef tendon. Perfect with rice. I added a little sambal to the soup and it had even more kick.My hubby got the Ayam Penyet (smashed chicken) and it was very tasty too.We also got a side of 6 chicken satay.Coupled with 2 hot teas, our meal came up to around $46 before tips.The lady serving us was super friendly too.What a great lunch!

We came all the way from Coquitlam just to try their food. But sadly it was shut while showing “OPEN” on Google. When we arrived we saw a notice on the counter saying they are closed between 12th of June - 3rd of July. Guys please update it on Google if you were planning to go off for such a long duration. We might come back and try their food soon again sometime and will probably update the review and the rating then!!

This review is for both the food I ordered and the wonderful owners of BaliThai!First, ordered the laksa and it was loaded with meat, tofu, can't remember what else as the flavours were that good...just ate. But I do remember lots of noodles and the generous offer of cilantro, fried garlic and additional chili sauce. The soup was rich and the flavours were delicious.While waiting, the owner was so nice. We started talking about their history, where they previously had a restaurant and how they ended up in Tinseltown. Just a very lovely and genuine conversation. What I really thought was awesome was she really wanted my feedback about how the laksa was. So after I finished headed back with a two thumbs up. I will be back to try other menu items. Supporting local and this family is easy to do...home made authentic food.

Delicious Indonesian food with very friendly service. I had the two meat combo with beef rendang and spicy Balinese chicken, served with turmeric coconut rice, eggplant and veggies. The owner recommended some of her homemade chili sambal she called‘911 spice’ to add some heat and it was delicious. Such a great spot in the International Marketplace food court!

One of the better food court food around DTES area. Good portions and flavour. Build your own plate is in my opinion good value. 2 protein plus carbs or salad.

I’m Indonesian and I’m so glad that Bali Thai exists! I have visited multiple times. Their food never disappoint me. When I miss Indonesian food, Bali Thai is the place I go. Great service, lovely food and the best 911 super spicy sambal (chili sauce).

Yummy! Good selection that takes you to flavourtown. Even the turmeric coconut rice was delicious. Super friendly service and she will direct you if you don't know what to order. Will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes.

I'm just going to say it. I know it's a food court, but I eat out a lot, and I 1000% think this is the best food I've had in the entire lower mainland. Wow! Wow, wow, wow. The owners are so sweet and you can taste the food is made with sooooo much love. I take all my friends here when they come to visit. Mind blowing rending and chicken and just everything.

One of my favourite hidden secrets in Vancouver. The woman running it is a really special woman who knows some special tricks when it comes to making something delish. I recommend the beef rendang and her turmeric coconut rice. The best side is the eggplant for sure but don’t get it since she runs out sometimes and then I won’t get my fill!
