Jasper Source For Sports

Terrible service. The salesman kept looking at his watch, pacing, sighing and scoffing when I asked for different shoes or sizes. I had to find someone in the back to check out and the lady couldn't spare one smile. I bought one pair of shoes because they fit, but I went elsewhere for the rest. In a town that has a sports store every 10 meters, better to stay away from Source and go to the competition.

Rented skis, boots, poles, and helmet for 2 days. Ski boots were very low end with too much flex for me and they felt way too loose on the hill. Main problem was that I came in to possibly exchange my boots and the person dealing with me gave me a weird vibe that they are “just” rentals and that I only paid 40$ a day or something like that so I shouldn’t care if they feel good while skiing or not and shared a personal experience with me about how back in the day when he would rent equipment they would give him the equipment and that’s it. Btw they charge extra for helmets. Compared to their competitors within 2 mins of their shop their equipment is cheaper to rent, better and they actually care about your safety so helmet is included and if you have any problems with your boots they would switch it. Shop refused to give me different boots with higher flex because they only rent out the very low end ones which did not fit me and had too much room+flex and just didn’t have anything else. When I asked if I could get different boots person dealing with me told me he would have to redo the bindings so I should feel bad for him and not do it.For sizing I told them I usually get 26.5s and I put my foot on the measuring device and they recommended a whole size bigger which would leave WAYY too much extra room and if I went with what they recommended and the extremely high flex boot I would’ve wiped out first run.Rent from somewhere else, I highly recommend pure outdoors, great customer service. They care about your safety and your satisfaction and they don’t treat rentals like Jasper source for sports did for me “here you go, we don’t care if it fits good or if you feel safe skiing in it” now bring it back once ur done…And the poles were something out of the 1900s. Probably cost 30$At the end of the day my conclusion is: why would I rent from a place that charges extra compared to their competitors, has worst equipment, and doesn’t care if you feel safe or good while riding it? Btw I wiped out on the first mini bunny hop I hit because I felt like I was skiing in boots made out of rubber bands.They would keep pressuring me into buying their skis/ ski package if I don’t like the rentals…Don’t rent from here until they add at least a couple different options in their equipment or care about customer service and provide different options or u know what even if they said something like: we don’t have anything else available right now so we can refund you for the second day which I hadn’t used the equipment for yet, then just, “here’s your rentals, bring em back once ur done.”

i purchased most of my referee equipment from there but the first time i bought some ref pants there was no threading (manufacturing issue). i exchanged and got some new ones and they are great for officiating on the ice. defiantly recommend it to any official they have everything you need.

Absolutely wonderful staff! I went in to buy a pair of skates and it was such an awesome experience! I bought the skates and had them sharpened immediately by Marc L, he did a fantastic job and they feel great on the ice! They were heat molded in store and the staff even tied them up for me l, definitely made me laugh! Thanks Koji!! If you're looking for a great experience with knowledgeable staff I cannot recommend Jasper Source for Sports enough!

I rented a fat bike in that shop for 40$ and other extra 10$ because a staff member told to me and my friend that it was only necessary just in case the bike was damaged.At the end of the trial we asked for bringing back our 10$ and the assistant told us this fee was optional and we decided to pay for it so our money was lost. I would have liked to know this tiny detail from the beginning, the assistant wasn't clear enough.Money is not important for me, what made me feel bad was that he told me that it was due to a language barrier because I havenot an English accent. It was a racist comment. This assistant should have explained things better since his job depends on turism.People in Jasper was really kind with me and my friend so this assistant should learn how to advice and talk with turists, he only want to rent bikes at any price so I don't recommend to go to his shop.

Nice shop but…. Went in at 5pm when google was updated by the business owner to say they closed at 6pm recently to rent some bear spray for a hike we’re starting on early the following morning and before they open. Whilst browsing I found a $150 jacket I liked and when talking to the staff member around the rental they wanted to charge for two days spray rental because it was going out one day and returning within 24 hours the next day. Staff member said management wouldn’t allow him to use any discretion so management lost out on the $10 bear spray rental and the $150 jacket sale.Try Totem ski instead, got both jacket and bear spray for 24hrs no problem.

I have been coming here forever!! Renting experiences have always been fantastic.This year I purchased boots and had some circulation trouble when on the hill…. They were amazing at making sure I had boots that would work well for me… I can’t give them greater praise!! At least a decade of great experiences on the hill because of their fantastic service

Great place to rent mountain bikes. Fair pricing, quality bikes and very knowledgeable staff.The guy at the counter recommended some amazing trails and scenery to check out. We had the opportunity to see a bunch of Elks and Deers along our trails too. They are currently open later than a lot of other places and you can keep your bike over night.

Very accommodating welcoming staff.Mark, and Thor I need taken care of and laughing within 2 minutes. Seem to have extensive knowledge on the products I was looking for
