BMO Bank of Montreal

Gabriela was extremely helpful and patient in helping me set up a new BMO account - kudos to her. The man at the front desk was very helpful in helping me book an appointment too.

Yesterday (april 6) i went in this facility to make an appointment to open an account. The lady (unfortunately i dont have her name) booked me an appointment the next day (april 7) at the st-jacques facility and confirmed with me that there was availability that day. I got the booking confirmation by email. The next day i show up for my rdv and the bank was closed. A complete waste of time.

The manager controls the rights of the owner, so some kind of transfer business, whether to do it or not depends on his mood

Terrible. I got a problem with my credit card on Sept 20 at 10:30am. I went there to ask for help. The female bank teller after hearing my problem, she started to check my account with her colleague, when they saw my card limit, they looked at each other and kind of laugh. After that she just said nothing she could do I had to call Mastercard department. I don’t like the process that I’m client of BmO and can’t solve the problem at BmO branch. But her attitude is much more worse than the process. Yeah I’m just small student client but I’m pretty sure I will close everything I have with BMO after today.

EDIT: Still not a very pleasant experience. I get a reply to this review only to have me email them to open a “Complaint”. I have raised my concerns with my branch, but they’ve now been irresponsive since last Thursday not acknowledging my emails because why try calling? They never answer.Negative experience.There’s an urgent issue with my account and customer service reps. were not able to assist. (besides not being based from North America, they can’t stop reading script, which makes this experience very frustrating.) They would simply tell me to reach my branch. (oddly, one C.S. Rep could access notes on my account, but another didn’t?)My branch never returned my call: word for word, their voicemail mentions they WILL return my call by end of day if I leave a voice. 2 voicemail later and calling non stop since 9:30am, no return call from my branch.I’ve been a client for well over 10 years. This is not acceptable.

There is an officer sitting there doing nothing and there is few officers handling very slow services. There is a long line up at the front door and they still have people did nothing.

On Saturdays they actually close before 16h and they locked-out a guy before then.The staff are generally pretty nice, though.

The people here are much helpful than my home branch. Even though there was a big queue in the branch near teller counter. Two of the advisors from the room came out to help people out. Special mention of Gabriela1. She was voluntarily helping out people whenever she was free. ++ star2. She even got another good lady Caroline to get my documents filed correctly (Gabriela had to attend to client with a booked appointment)That is the kind of service we expect.These 2 people did help me out in correcting the application (that was missed by home branch team). I would go here instead of talking to the home branch i took account in.I would recommend this branch for any service. I wish i had gone here to take my account.

Really great experience with the representatives and the manager. Everyone was trying their best to help, which I appreciate. Michael is a very customer-oriented, goal-oriented manager and my interactions with Joy and Caroline were awesome as well. All the best!

Please have more teller staff available. I often end up waiting 30+ minutes in line. This is not acceptable.
