Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal
The only way to get your car to Victoria. They have done a nice job of the shops and restaurants. There are plenty of choices for places to eat and drink including Starbucks! If you are bringing your dog, there is a little dog walk area. But probably best to keep your pooch on leash. There is a small kids play area as well. Best suited for younger kids (9 and under?).

I come here a few times a year to sail to Duke Point Nanaimo as a foot passenger. Normally you can queue to pay cash or credit to a human or use a self-serve machine to pay debit or credit. I think right now you have to use the self-serve machine. Signage is great, and there are escalators and elevators for accessibility. The waiting areas are quite spacious and have decals and tape for social distancing right now. You can sit in any waiting area, just take note of what berth number you need to go to at boarding time. There are washrooms in berth 5, downstairs at berth 3, and at the quay market. Berth 5 also has a coffee shop. The staff check your ticket mostly to make sure you get on the correct boat. Instructions are made over loudspeaker, not with tvs or LED signs. There's glass everywhere so you can gaze out over the water. Arrivals has an indoor waiting area with washrooms, vending machines, tourism brochures, seating, and a ticketing machine for public transit. There are clear signs and areas for public transportation, pick ups, drop offs, taxis, parking, and a shelter in the parking lot for waiting.

One of the biggest ferry terminals. Having many shops to choose from is an advantage. Good arranged parking area.

BC Ferry Terminal for ferries to Swartz Bay and Duke Point (Nanaimo). There is a market and food court to help pass the time away or get snacks while awaiting the ferry to arrive. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Really friendly and helpful staff from the moment you enter also there is wifi in all the building and on the ferry in case you need it. It is really easy to get from any point from Vancouver since the Sky Station will take you close and then take a bus to the Ferry Terminal.Regarding the Ferry service it was good compared to others I have taken, it includes a lunch area, video games area and tv area for kids and also some vending machines in case of need. In addition you can always go out and take a sight of all the islands you pass while the ferry is on the way to your destination you will achieve many great photos.

Our BC Ferry the 'Queen of Alberni' brought us to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal in just under two hours, starting from Nanaimo Duke Point ferry terminal at 7.45 am and arriving at Tsawwassen ferry terminal at 9.45 am. Tsawwassen is much closer to Surrey than the Horseshoe Bay terminal in North West Vancouver, though the sailing time from Departure Bay Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay Vancouver is one and a half hours only.

Large terminal outside of Vancouver that provides access to Victoria and Vancouver as well as the gulf Islands. Decent sized food court on site. Employees are always friendly and able to answer questions. Excellent customer service. The Voyage to and from the islands is very Scenic and beautiful.

Maybe it's an experience if you're a tourist or an infrequent traveller but for somebody who takes a ferry every week it's an ordeal. Every sailing is full to capacity and there are better places to sit in your vehicle for hours. Poor quality overpriced food doesn't make the wait any more bearable. The sooner they build a fixed link and scrap BC Ferries the better.

It's a nice ferry. Clean. Gets me to mainland and back but cost is a huge problem. Also it sure why female bathrooms and playgrounds are on opposite sides of ship. Should be same side. I don't have any cheaper way to get to mainland so this the only way. Should be included as part of BC highways. Food is good. Gift shop is nice.

These pictures are mostly from the ferry called The Queen of Alberni; however, some pictures and videos feature another ferry. Aboard the ship is a great gift shop which I noticed had vibrantly colored clothes for women, purses/bags, socks, jackets, t-shirts, candy, lotion, all kinds of gifts, knickknacks, toys, books/magazines and dishes. We bought a burger and a beef dip sandwich from the cafeteria and it was pretty good. I also found the pet center which was on the third level and inside this small room were four metal cages in which you could put a small pet, there was also a bench etc. see the photos for more information. Buying my ticket over the phone was very easy to do and BC Ferries quickly answered my call. The agent was very helpful and knowledgeable and my ticket was booked within a few minutes. Checking in was very smooth and there were no issues.
