Yummy!I am not African. Trying this is something new to me.Friendly staff, patiently explained the recommendations for the first-timer me.Not the best price but the soup was loaded with meat chunks on the bottom. Garri was okay, gonna try pounded yam next time.

Wow, wow, wow, this place was the absolute best. I am a Nigerian and man!!! The last time I’ve had Afang Soup like this was in Nigeria. All authentic flavours. Incredible service and very impressive location inside the food court. Very proud of my people. If you want to have traditional Calabar taste this is the spot.- one thing though. I would like to see* periwinkle* snailOn the list. All the best. Wonderful place. Can’t wait for the chain to come to Toronto.

I paid $19 dollars for rice and 3 pieces of meat. The beef was so hard it was impossible for me to chew. The lady serving was on the phone while I was ordering had her headphones in but asked me to take off my mask so she can hear me better. Food was not tasty and was barely warm and outrageously over pricedreally disappointed and will not be returning

I ordered the egusi with fish & poundo, and it was delicious. Although it was a bit pricey, I would come back again. Service was great and had very welcoming staff. I recommend.

I've never had any African Soup with pound before and i've been wanting to expand my pallet. I went here in October and ordered it. The lady was very kind to me and she could tell i've never eaten there before and helped me choose my soup, and i ended up getting Afang Soup with pound. Let me tell you that was my best experience with customer service, we talked about my back ground and her background, and she explained to me how to properly eat the pound after dipping it in the soup (you suck on the pound to eat it you don't chew it). The food was a little expensive but very delicious. I am planning on going back once I am back at my summer job :) Thank you Calabar Kitchen for the experience <3

I ordered afang soup, pounded yam, rice and stew, and plantain from this restaurant. I had high hopes about the food but was disappointed. The afang soup was more oil than vegetables. The worse is that I found a long strand of hair in the soup that made me stop eating. Instead of pounded yam, I was given semovita and it looked so rough. The rice and stew was tasteless and the plantain was friend in chicken oil. I know this because I found chicken skin with the plantain. You guys can do better.

Calabar Kitchen was previously operating out of a home but now has opened their food court location in Jackson Square. I tried their rice and stew, and Suya meat salad! It was amazing...If you want to try something different and experience delicious African cuisine then this is the place for you! They also accept orders through Uber eats, Doordash and Skip the Dishes.

I ordered the Ikon igusi soup with eba garri.I have never tried African food before but I did not like it. The igusi soup was burnt and had fine shards of rocks throughout. The meat was tough and fatty. Not worth buying. Thumbs down for sure
