Dolan's Gas Fitting & Heating Ltd.

Once again, Dolan's Heating came through for us. A few years ago, they installed a gas fireplace. Now, they just installed a new Trane gas furnace for us. They are the most professional and reliable heating company we have ever used. Their employees are very professional and do amazing work. We couldn't be happier with their work, and would strongly recommend them to anyone that needs any HVAC services. Thanks again to Sean and all your great employees.

I would like to say thank you, my mom (is over 65), and her propane heater was not working. She still had some electric heat. The office said they were booked for the next few weeks (understandable). One of their technicians, offered to drop by on his way home after work. My mom said he was great, and fixed the issue. I am glad to see there's still businesses that go above and beyond. Once again, thank you.

Very disappointed in the service we received by Dolans for a wood stove install in brand new home. Many problems and Sean Dolan did not rectify the mistakes.We would never recommend this business and eventually hired a true professional company from Parksville to complete the job.We are still left with an “incorrect hole“ in our brand new roof which means we could not have one straight pipe installed for easy cleaning for Woodstove.If possible I would give Dolans ZERO stars as a review but google would accept one as lowest.Learn from our expensive mistake and call someone besides this company.EDIT: to reply to owner replyWe did indeed have business with Dolan’s , a couple years ago.We did try to discuss our serious problems with Sean who refused to even talk to us; we have all our correspondence to prove our side of this situation.Dolans employees and Sean Dolan in particular as owner, were all an extreme disappointment to us. I will always share our negative experience to ensure people know what can happen when you trust the wrong people to do a job.We paid you plus we had to pay another company to actually do the job Dolan’s should have done.In my opinion and experience call ANYONE ELSE EXCEPT DOLANS for installing your woodstove.

Sean is extremely professional, knows his trade inside and out, and is one of the most helpful Furnace contractor's I've dealt with. When my Furnace went down in early November, and my family was stuck in the cold, I was turned down by every mechanical contractor in Squamish and Vancouver due to the time of year and type of repair. Not knowing what else to do I called Dolan's Gas Fitting & Heating in Port Alberni. Sean didn't even blink an eye, agreed to fix my furnace, had me up and running within a few days, and above all got the entire thing covered under a warranty repair...no cost to me at all.

Phoned Dolans for an estimate on a new gas furnace supply/install. The woman on the phone was extremely quick to tell me that they do not do estimates for cost + improvements for home buyers because “they do all these quotes and people just the take the money and never call back”…This claim is nothing but false… Lenders require that the renovations/upgrades be completed by a licensed, certified contractor and are accompanied by a completion invoice provided by said contractor in order to have the “money” released from escrow. Thus making it impossible to - Take the money and run. I would have gladly paid for an estimate given the current circumstances with backlogs and shipping contingency’s, but this option was never offered.It is unfortunate that this was our first experience with Dolans as new homeowners in Port Alberni, and would strongly recommend as an alternative calling Archie Johnstone Plumbing and Heating who were more than accommodating when it came to our needs.

Specialists in fireplace inserts, by the looks of it. The 2 dudes had the insert installed in half the time they had allocated. Very professional. Nice insert, just pumps out heat....Whooooooahhhhhhhh! Not the cheapest, but certainly one of the most reputable. Highly recommend.

I recently bought a 3 year old home in Port Alberni with a Heat Pump . The previous owner didn't know there was a filter that required changing .... I immediately changed the clogged filter but noticed when the unit was running ours was far nosier than the neighbours same brand unit. .. As I was new to the heat pump world I contacted Dolans to have the unit serviced for my own piece of mind. ... Quintyn arrived as scheduled and performed the service and recommended that the compressor be changed .... the part was ordered and subsequently installed and during the process it was discovered that a certain valve?? was the wrong one installed at the factory... Dolans went to bat for me and had the whole problem covered under warranty due to the wrong part installed from the factory... Kudos to Quintyn for being so thorough and diligent ... I personally think he deserves a raise or even better shares in the company !! Thank you guys for the excellent service above and beyond

A big shout out to Dolan's Gas fitting & Heating for their excellent service and friendly knowledgeable staff. They provided an easy no hassle experience when we purchased a new furnace and air conditioner. Would highly recommend.

We recently purchased a gas fireplace from Dolan's. We first met with Sarah and Sean and they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They answered all our questions and Sarah responded promptly to any e-mails I sent after our initial meeting asking questions and believe me I sent many. The installers they sent were awesome - they had multi trades and were able to deal with any issue we had. We went to a few fireplace stores while looking for our fireplace and Dolan's definitely provided the best service and were the most knowledgeable. We also qualified for 4 different rebates and their staff took care of all the paperwork on our behalf. We didn't have to do a thing and received all the rebates in a timely manner. We absolutely love our fireplace. I would highly recommend Dolan's and I wouldn't hesitate to use them in future for our next fireplace.

My furnace quit working and I called Dolans, they were great. Got it fixed and up and running as quickly as they could. Due to the bad weather, ferries cancelled and delivery trucks not working it took a few days, but they kept me up to date on what was going on. Nikki even delivered an electric heater to help until it was fixed. Very pleased with service
