Halifax Vision Surgical Centre (Dr. Dan Belliveau)

I under went cataract surgery to both eyes, two years ago. Never too late to give a review where it is well deserved. The surgery by Dr. Amr Zaki was excellent, but equal to the actual surgery, was his follow up. Dr. Zaki made a point on more than one occasion , after hours to check on my situation, to see how things were progressing. Highly recommend. 5 star for sure!

I highly recommend Halifax Vision Surgical center, I’ve been referred to see Dr.Dan Belliveau, it was the best decision I’ve ever made to go for Multifocal lens implant, 1/2 hour implant procedure and the result is Fantastic, I’m able to see clearly now, no pain or discomfort.staff are amazing and friendly, they deserve 50 stars not five.Very much appreciated ❤️

My eye surgery truly led me from the darkness into the light. It is world expanding. I am ecstatic with the result and considering the whole experience was quick, pain free and the staff a pleasure to deal with I could not be happier .

I had refractive Lens exchange surgeries with Dr. Dan Belliveau. After the 1st surgery, the lens power was off by about 3 diopters. During my iol lens exchange on my left eye, my iris prolapsed twice and was damaged. After 4 surgeries and 7.4k, I now have to find a good specialist to fix my iris.

Wonderful and caring staff. Covid requirements, cleaning between clients. Always a relaxing experience. Great group of eye specialists!

I had cataract surgery a few years ago by Dr. Alexander Tan inserting lense implants in both eyes and I highly recommend him. Very professional and friendly during the consultations and very efficient during the surgery. I was quite apprehensive before the first surgery (after all, who wants someone messing around in your eyes) but it went very well (you can't see or feel anything during the surgery) and I was back to work in a couple days. There is a minor irritation after surgery - feels like a speck of dirt in the eye so my suggestion is to hopefully have the surgery late in the day, go home and go to sleep for the night. The irritation is gone the next morning.[Edit - June 2019 - It appears Dr. Tan may no longer be at the Halifax Vision Centre - looks like he is now with Dalhousie University Dept of Opthamology.]
