Sentinel is a place that illegally neglects and ignores any major concern or problems tenants have, so if you love the Regie du lodgement then you are in luck...going with Sentinel almost guarantees it! Since moving in I've had broken toxic mouldy washing machine and dryer in my luxury unit for 5 months and the problem isn't solved still even though I call more than once a week. I've talked to 4 different people including the lead project manager" and "operations director" and nothing is being done even though the appliances are black

Worst experience ever, you will lose a lot of time with them. The service is horrible. They never answer the phone and when they do, it is with disrespect and distastefulness. They have unqualified employees who lack professionalism and who can't accept their responsibilities. See by yourself, all those bad reviews aren’t here for nothing. :)

Incompetent firm with property agents who are complete scams. They will do anything to sell their homes even if it means lying to their tenants about maintenance and conditions of the house. I had a place with them for 5 months and had to leave because I just could not deal with their lack of proficiency. The building manager of the condo building I was renting at, himself told me that Sentinel lies to its tenants. Please stay away and don’t get pulled into their “decreased rate if you sign the lease today”. You’d much rather pay a bit more at another place for your own sanity.

My worst experience with a rental company in my 14 years of renting apartments. Don't get fooled by the all-inclusive deal or the good looks of the apartments or the staff's smiles when they first meet you, as it will all turn on you. Very unprofessional company they will never come for repairs when you need them unless it puts them in legal trouble. Even the elevators can smell of cigarettes (or weed), let alone the corridors, along with the occasional after-hours loud music. Avoid them, not worth it.

horrible, incompetent management.. it takes them 3 months to fix a broken heating system while the tenants freeze in the winter, need to follow up with them constantly as they do not call back. the building reeks of smoke.. they cannot even collect rent properly.

Sentinel has managed my condo for the last 5 years and they have done a good job. They find tenants, collect the rent and manage all communications with the tenants (repairs,...). Every 15th of the month I receive the rent in my bank account except if the tenant has not paid. It only happenned a few times (NSF from the tenants) and in those cases the rent was received in the following days.

I have had good experience with Sentinel so far. They respond to inquiries and provide residents with real solutions. I also feel that their experience is valuable as they provide constructive advice on how to deal with difficult situations. Finally, since they are not a huge management company, they are able to handle buildings much more efficiently than bigger management companies where it is all done via an app.
