Gail's Switch A Stitch

Doesn't look like too much when you walk in but very clean and punctual. I had her do an alteration for my bridesmaid dress a year ago. We thought it was going to cost about $80 but how she recommended doing it looked fantastic - plus it only cost $20.Then this year I choose her to do alterations for my wedding dress.I knew what I wanted but wasn't sure how to put it together. Gail looked at some of my photos and made some suggestions - the results were amazing. She did all the alterations on time and my dress was very well cared for. Her alterations lasted all night. Very well done both aesthetically and structurally.Very well priced. Would highly recommend.

I had an emergency appointment for my grad dress, and had to go get my dress in saskatoon for it. The appointment was on tuesday, and when I showed up, she wasn’t there and she wouldn't answer my calls. She almost ruined my grad.

Worst experience of my life. NEVER go here. I took my grad dress in and I needed it shortened and taken in. The shortening was fine but the dress was still loose on me and there was a snag in the side stitch. Also she undid small stitches around the neck line and the dress was starting to role, pure laziness hat she never put it back in.My dress also laid very smoothly across the bust when I brought it in after alterations the bust was extremely bumpy and the top layer of fabric was way too tight.The worst part about the whole experience was that Gail herself was extremely rude and denying that anything was wrong in the first place. Everything I tired to explain what I was seeing she would interrupt me, wouldn't let me finish any sentence and said it was perfect. Her attitude was horrendous and she would smirk and smile when I was telling her my concerns.She charged me a ridiculous about and never apologized or took responsibility for what she did to the dress. That attitude is unacceptable to any person.I still took my dress to a wonderful seamstress who showed me why the dress wasn't looking good and what was done wrong.There is wonderful seamstresses in Prince Albert, but this place is NOT one of them. Go somewhere else

I went in to get some work pants hemmed. Had a nice conversation with the young lady. She did the measurements and for some reason she needed to get help. The older one was rude, interrupted me in everything i said and refused to answer some questions. In the end her bill came back really high. I asked why it was so high and she told me because she made special alterations. Asked for a receipt and found out there was forced tip too. Wasn't too pleased.

I literally don’t worry about having clothes not fit either too big or too small Gail has fixed ANYTHING for me suits, hoodies, t shirts whatever piece of clothing you need done she can do it and does awesome work! With reasonable prices

Terrible! Would never recommend. I dropped off the dress 2 weeks before I needed it and she said pick up was 2 days before I needed it. She said I would not need a 2nd fitting which I initially thought not wise. When I went to pick up it was not done! She did have unforeseen circumstance but I received no call. Not convenient as I live out of town and had to make another trip in. So the last day possible, the dress is ready but fits terrible in the bodice, all lumpy and dented in. Then she says, did I mention I only take cash. I said, no, not even once, of all the times I spoke with you. So I had to waste more time heading to the bank. She never apologized for any delays and was unconcerned the dress did not fit properly.

Didn't show up for an appointment and wouldn't answer the phone.

Gail was great and did a fantastic job hemming my moms pants. I was confused trying to find the place since I wasn't the one dropping of the clothing. It's actually inside of the Moth clothing store.

I needed pants hemmed, phoned, and was told they would be ready Friday. I go there in person, and was told they will be ready Thursday, BONUS!! Very professional establishment! I will definitely choose Gail's Switch a Stitch in the future!

I brought Gail an expensive bridesmaid dress I'd purchased inquiring about swapping out the sequinned top, which she quoted me, and then didn't bat an eye when I brought the dress back wanting to swap out the bottom instead, with a beautiful heavy satin. (I ordered the dress from Unique Weddings and realized, much to my horror, that I had ordered the wrong colours and so it came in this ugly two-toned thing.) She took my step-daughter's measurements, swapped out the bottom, provided me with a new quote, and had it ready to go within a month. She didn't call me a bunch of times. I didn't call her. I went to pick it up and it was done. When I went to pay for it, there weren't any surprises. It was done. It fit my tiny little step-daughter perfectly. The colours matched a WHOLE lot better. And the details of Gail's professional touch were not lost on me as my grandmother was a professional seamstress. I was THRILLED to see the touches on the garment that told ME of the quality work done on the dress. It saved me from having to buy a whole new dress. She's got all the BOB awards for a reason!
