The trip from Victoria was well worth it. The chicken sandwich was one of the best I have had. The service was also top notch. They have live music on Tuesdays and the performer was very good. She had a lovely voice. I highly recommend this restaurant. It was quite enjoyable.

The Lakehouse at Shawnigan
We came out on a Tuesday night and to our surprise there was live music! Danielle was a wonderful musician singing and playing for everyone. The food was excellent and they gave us huge portions. I had the chicken burger and my wife had an amazing salad. It was all fantastic. We left feeling full and enjoyed the experience immensely. The service was very natural and friendly. Great place!!!

A cozy vibe, delicious food, and great service! Kara was delightful- made us feel very welcome, and was knowledgeable about the menu. We had the Short Rib and the Calibrian Burrata, and ordered desserts to go which were also so good!

PROS:-Friendly and efficient service-Nice ambiance on the lake-Food is very goodCONS:-It's a bit off the beaten path.OVERAL IMPRESSIONI can recommend this restaurant as a must to visit. Try going during the week as weekends can get very busy.

To celebrate my father in law 90th birthday, we stayed few days at lake Shawnigan in Nov and booked dinner at the Lake House restaurant for our first night. The place is very charming, fronting the lake. The design feels like a mountain chalet. We started with few cocktails which were some of the best we ever tried. All very unique, and very well crafted, originally prepared. For dinner we took the fish and lamb champs. Both were excellent. Service was also excellent. We loved everything so much that we came back for brunch and dinner again during the 3 days we stayed. I highly recommend this restaurant if you stay near by.

We came here twice because it tastes good, it’s seasonal and fresh and has an spectacular view. So we had the Korean Pork Belly, Spring Salad, Salmon Bowl, Short Rib and Side Strip Bucatini. For deserts we had the cookie with espresso cope and the cheesecake, yummi.Since they make their menu with local food, it’s changing.

Great place to stop by on your road trip and grab a drink by the lake. We really enjoyed the views and the atmosphere. The drinks were delicious kudos to the bartender on the special menu and delivery. Service was excellent. We ordered several dishes for lunch, however most of us didn’t enjoy the food. The meal portion was great but the food was very salty and tasted average. Next time I’ll be having drinks only.

Good food, the higher prices represent the better quality foodsAvailable. the menu is small and changes . I like that I don't get lost in a massive number of choices like some restaurants.Nestled at the north end of shawnigan Lake. the lakehouse is a little gem of a spot, accessible from the water by boat or drive up, where you will find plenty of free parking.If you have guests who have hadicapes best access is by car as well there Is a drop off infront of the restaurant and hadicap parking available.Check out there web site for menus and more details
