The Landscape of Grand Pré View Park

Hidden site offers beautiful view of Blomidon, Grand Pre, and tidal flats. Back road into Wolville leads to variety of wineries. Many food choices in Wolfville.

Stunning view. Lots of parking. Historical information posted on site. The cost to visit Grand Pre is not high, but the view is free. It is an important way to see how the past shapes the present in the Annapolis Valley.Ha, I was about to add photos, but I didn't take any! It was a windy day and we walked with friends versus sightseeing. A great way to meet friends and get outside, for no cost. We walked the Grand Pre and got a close up look at the Otentiks the Park put in thus year. Glamping at its best. I imagine an Acadian person would really appreciate staying on this land, as would anyone else really.

The Landscape of Grand Pré view park is managed by Parks Canada. Its just a view park where you can hang around and chill while enjoying the view of farming landscapes of Grand Pré. It is also registered with UNESCO as world heritage site and not much far from the Grand Pré National Historic Site. Chairs and granite table with Grand Pré engraved on it where you can sit, eat, relax and adore the views. In pleasant weather many different animals and birds can be heard. Top of the Church at Grand Pré historic site is also visible from the park. The landscapes are so vast that the large lands of the historic site counts nothing from the park. People visiting national historic site must visit this park.

If you don't have a lot of time visiting Grand Pre, then this viewpoint/park should be the place to visit. Not only is it close to the main road, but you get an amazing view of the landscape.

Awesome views! It was great to walk where my Acadian ancestors walked. Very peaceful and relaxing, to just sit and enjoy the day and the view. There's a live webcam also so I was able to take a picture of myself there and tell my friends to look as I waved. Just a minute or so away from Grand-Pre and the memorial church. Worth a stop, for sure.
