Your speakers yesterday, were absolutely correct about Being Reasonable, Calm, and as Understanding as possible, when dealing with All owners! The Property Manager’s job is demanding and difficult enough without the added stress of dealing with difficult owners and their renters. As a Board Member at a complex of 104 houses, I have learned much over the years, in how to be Pro Active with Owners &/or their Renters, who are having issues that they want solved as soon as possible.It is very important that the PM answer their emails, in a timely fashion, so that they know the PM and Board, know of their concerns. Over the past 2 1/2 years, we have heard at every Board meeting , that our PM and Board President , have had to deal with repairs not being done, or investigated quickly, due to the almost complete Lack of Professionals and Contractors to come to our complex with the needed repair materials. Routine maintenance as well as major repairs are now slated for next year, when and if contractors will be able to keep to their promises. It is vital that the owners are completely aware of these situations that are beyond our abilities and control, as a Board and that of our Management Company.

I certainly enjoyed and got a lot out of the 1 hour Q&A session on Friday Aug 20. I was particularly pleased that my own question was included.If nothing else, the sessions emphasize the importance of the role and responsibilities of directors of condominium boards, and provide excellent examples of the kinds of things we all need to know about.Each of the presenters did a good job of answering the questions, and provided enough information to give direction to participants. Of course, I think you could have spent the entire hour on many of the questions, but I appreciate that you gave the important points and references to the Condominium Act. I will likely take the time to listen to the recording to fill in the blanks of my notes!I also appreciated the information provided on construction contracts during Sept 29's Condo Crunch. Again, it alerts board members to the issues, risks, and liability we face and how to mitigate them.Thanks for these informative sessions! Very much appreciated.

The DHA webinars & Condo Crunch provide a valuable source of information for owners, Directors, & Property Managers alike, on Condo law here in Ontario,. I have all their podcasts bookmarked so that I can come back and listen at my leisure. As a long-time condo owner & Director, I have definitely benefited from the knowledge & wisdom shared via these podcasts. Good work!

As a condo owner and director I find their condo blog and podcast to be invaluable resources. New directors won't have a guide or manual to help them in their role and these resources provide advice and information that directors need. The fact that they are entertaining is simply a bonus!Bookmark the blog, fire up a podcast. You will learn something, and that will help you to feel more comfortable as a director.

It was a great presentation!My pet peeve as a director of a townhome condo of almost all presentations I attend, not just yours, is that the assumption made is that every condo is a high-rise condo. Your answers to questions/issues seemed geared for high rises, especially the one on EVs. Many of us, especially outside of large urban areas, live in townhomes.However, thanks for your great efforts!

The Oct 20 webinar was useful, well presented and I certainly learned from it. May I suggest the speakers tried to cover more than the time allowed for and I would have enjoyed a slower pace with more examples. I think a newcomer to a condo board would have found this a little above their heads.

As a real estate Broker I'm always grateful to DHA for the informative sessions they provide, and, in turn, the value add this brings to my clients. The recent Holiday Q&A was another one of those sessions that provided great perspective and information all the while balanced with condo law.Thanks for all you do at DHA and Merry Christmas.
