Oliver Paipoonge Heritage Park
Very cool place with a lot of old things. The owner is very knowledgeable about the historical buildings and items on his property and was able to tell us some fun things about them. My daughter loved the one room school house.

We haven't been here as visitors but to attend an outdoor wedding that meant guest had access to the main museum building. The collection is extensive and quite interesting from photos to clothing and devices! There are ramps to access the buildings, making it fully accessible.The Founders Museum is a place worth visiting, especially for those of us who have lived in the area for most of our lives!

Had a family reunion/ann. there.The main hall had lots of room and the village gave us something to do after the main lunch.Lots of interesting stuff to check out.Explore the very complete old town display of 1000s of items, and daily life back then.

Oliver Paipoonge Heritage Park
This is a gem and totally worth the visit! So many historical artifacts from the late 1800s are set up in buildings from the same period...it is a great place to see if you are a history buff and even if you aren't. There are old cars and tractors and farm equipment, an old church and schoolhouse, fully stocked general store, and the list goes on. It's worth the short drive out of Thunder Bay to see this wonderful museum and pioneer village!

A fun place to visit for nostolics like myself.Lots of memories in the museum and Russ's Garage. Very professional signage, East to find down old 61.

Fantastic living history of pioneer days in the area. Original buildings moved to the site from many miles away. Schoolhouse, church, pioneer home, general store, train station etc. Conveniently located right on highway 61. Free parking.

I’m sure this is a great place but PLEASE let people know when you are open or closed. It is a way out to go and be disappointed.I will come back but there is no excuse for not keeping up to date information on the web.

Oliver Paipoonge Heritage Park
I’m so impressed with the museum and the knowledgeable volunteers. Mr Wolowich’s wood working was definitely the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, this is not a great museum for little ones who need a more hands on experience. We constantly had to tell our kids to look and not touch.
