Heritage Flight Museum

Wow! What a hidden gem this place is. You walk in the door and are immediately greeted by the friendly volunteers! Anne, Dave, Mark, and Hank were awesome and extremely knowledgeable about the displays and aircraft in the museum. If you've never been up close and personal with aircraft like the P-51 Mustang, T-6 Texan or the AD-4NA Skyraider then you have to stop by this museum. You can walk around of the aircraft that they own...provided they're not out flying. The impeccably maintained aircraft are accessible and can be photographed to your hearts content. The Docents are also available for detailed tours and are extremely knowledgeable about their subject matter. If you're in the area, you should stop by and see these historically significant pieces of flying art. It's inexpensive and easy to get to. The museum is currently open Thursdays through Saturday. The museum also does fly days" every second Saturday of the month

I'm kicking myself for not visiting this place sooner. It's a small museum with an impressive owner history and fleet of Aircraft, many of which are airworthy. The $10 is a mere pittance to pay to get so close to so many cool exhibits.

What a great way to witness and experience history. The pieces in this air collection are in great shape, there are planes, vehicles, and space exhibition for the Apollo 8 mission. The artifacts that have been donated add depth to the displays that other museums don't have.

Very friendly and helpful. Was there about 5 years ago and have added the space exhibit since then. Very well done.

Had the BEST experience. Talked to many different service personnel past and present and future service folks. Watching the fly overs is UNBEATABLE. I HIGHLY recommend going. Go often.

From April to September, HF flies their airplanes starting late morning, weather dependent, and fly until the late afternoon.Check their website for dates and times.Really fun experience for the entire family..

Museum founded by Apollo 8 Astronaut Bill Anders. The museum covers the major news stories from 1968 and has an extensive array of aircraft. I highly recommend visiting.

Well this one is a highlight for anyone who loves old planes, history and space. The museum offers the chance to meet some of the amazing men who have either flown some of the planes on display giving extra insights and knowledge. The NASA moon section is an incredible timeline with some authentic and donated displays you need to see if the moon landing is one of your things. All the staff are volunteers (old and young) and you get up close and personal with everything. Great fun, great experience. Would go again!

This a small but well organized museum with excellent information and devoted docents.
