A family tradition of Japanese food in the beginning of the year sent me here to find Tobiko. It was a beautiful red colour, vacuum packed in a small quantity. They also had great quality frozen tuna for sashimi! It was a perfect addition to our dinner.

The go-to shop to get a wide variety and specialize fresh/frozen seafood of your choice (They also have many sauces and spices for seafood!). Way more variety than the regular grocery store but depending on seasons (I mean, obviously, since Gimli specializes in seafood). The majority of the products are shipped directly from Nova Scotia, PEI, or BC.NOTE:You can browse their website to see if they carry what you are looking for.

Love going to Gimli fish for their fresh oysters, frozen ahi tuna steaks, and for special seafood treats throughout the year!I would recommend calling in advance if you need something specific to make sure they have it in stock, as things do sell out quick I have noticed!

Don't ever go to this store as they are not honest! The label is not matched with the product! We want to buy Silver Bass fish but the one in the package is actually Drum Bass! They wrapped the fish in 3 layers~ we can't even identified the fish inside the package~ shame on you!

The only reason why I only gave a 4 star rating is the last few times that I was there to purchase some smoked White Fish , the White Fish was over smoked and very dry , picked it up on a Thursday/Friday, supposed to be a fresh shipment ,took it back and the staff were able to replace the smoked fish with 2 other pces. Which were BETTER than the others I bought, but still not great , Service was very good , along with the Customer service, Smoked fish however needs better Quality Control.

Love their fresh fish, mostly Atlantic salmon and pickerel. Have some new frozen items like borscht. Their chicken fingers pretty good. If you love seafood check them out.
