Very fresh, clean flavours. Great service. The sushi and sashimi were excellent, as were the skewers. Accidentally found this little gem, but will definitely come back.

Wa Skew’R Sushi & Bar
Been here a few times now. Have dined in and gotten take out. Both times when getting take out I would ask for extra wasabi and soy sauce. And they wouldn't give any. Today we ordered a large sashimi, and 4 different rolls and the girl says there's 4 packets of soy sauce In there when we asked for more. Bad service good food.

10/10 recommend to visit there! I've been craving real Japanese skewers(yakitori) since I came to Canada. This is the right place to go. I love their tasty and pretty big skewers (especially pork belly and chicken)! I want to try every single cocktails which is beautiful and unique!

Of all the things we ordered, we liked the eeliscious the most, and the macha tiramishu. The rest was ok. Sushi was not too outstanding. We should've read the reviews and order the skewers instead of normal sushi rolls. Good service though.

My wife and I had a wonderful impromptu date night here. Our server Ruth was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. We had the pork gyoza and spicy tuna roll to start. Really delicious. The gyoza wasn't greasy and had a nice crunch. We shared a beef bulgogi skewer, a salt and pepper pork belly skewer, and a chicken teriyaki skewer with two orders of fried onigiri (thick rice triangles). all of it was so good. I also ordered the garlic butter oyster mushroom skewer for myself which was really yummy. My favourite was the beef bulgogi though. We tried the Wa-style cocktail and thought it was a great signature drink. We will definitely be back for more impromptu date nights! Honourable mention to the wicked wallpaper.

Such an incredible experience! As two sushi enthusiasts, we were thrilled to discover this place for authentic Japanese-style sushi. If you're looking to indulge in fresh rolls, sashimi, and nigiri that are as good as they should be, this is the spot. To top it off, the service was both respectful and incredibly friendly. Even after two months, the memory of our visit still brings me joy, and I can't wait to return soon!

We were so happy to find this little sushi place not far from home! Beautifully decorated inside clean open high ceilings! Service was excellent right from the start. Being gluten free they were very careful and considerate about what I could and couldn't have and made everything happen. Delicious grilled okra and asparagus and tiger prawns and spring salmon. The sunomono salad was excellent and the sushi was so tasty especially the rainbow roll! We definitely will be going back!

Randomly stumbled upon this place, but really enjoyed the food. Thoughtfully seasoned, without overwhelming the taste of the skewered item - like, for the okra skewers, you could really taste the okra. Delicious. Very nice quality tuna and salmon sashimi. Friendly service, reasonably priced. Recommended.

Very satisfying experience. The food is delicious and has a very authentic Japanese taste. We are surprised with how good this restaurant is. First time today from Alberta and will definitely come back again!
