We came here many times during our stay in Cape Breton, what a lovely café! The coffee was great and service was really friendly. Love that they have local art for sale :)

Perfect place for coffee - we lounged on the sun deck & visited with locals who told us all about their town & sent us to Lola's Hookers to view all the hooked rugs (we found out later we were talking to Lola's husband & sister-in-law!). Even if you're not an art person, you have to stop by the art studio to see local artisans display their beautiful & witty creations. We bought a felted pillow that looks like it was painted. They have small items, too - something for everyone.

I visited two years ago when the prior owners were running the place. It seems that the new owners have changed the name, but much else if the same. You can get an excellent cup of coffee made to your order, and enjoy it in the outdoor Cafe or - .more to enjoy post-Covid times - there is a small indoor seating area as well. The gallery has a nice blend of fine art, folk art and artisan-made items. There are sculptures, glass designs, fibreworks, pottery, preserves, etc. Worth a break and a browse in your day.

My partner and I have spent the last 3 days in Chetecamp and one of the highlight, apart from hiking was going for an afternoon cafe with treats at the Freya and Thor Cafe. What a gem of a spot and the best and friendliest barista in the area. Loved our Cortados, Latte and chocolate chip chunk cookies.

Freya and Thor is the perfect place to stop by if you appreciate creativity and supporting local artists! My partner and I stopped in to look for some gifts to bring back home to share a piece of Nova Scotia with our friends and family. We had been searching for some time for a really good place to get some art and this shop was exactly what we were looking for. There is a large selection of art curated by Erin and her husband for you to look through - prints, paintings, felt dolls, hand carved wooden sculptures, baskets, mugs, jewelry (and so much more)! Everything in the store was unique and good quality for a reasonable price.Stop by the cafe next to the shop on your way out! Definitely worth the visit if you’re in Cheticamp.
