Budget Car & Truck Rental

Waited at the counter for 40 mins before someone showed up. Once they did show up they were very rude to the people in line.Fair warning they charge extra for snow tires. This is Canada and we get snow!! Lots of it! Thought snow tires were mandatory on rentals.There were charges added to my bill that I didn't agree too. Neither customer service or the person at the counter was any help.The only good thing about this place is the vehicle was in great condition and well maintained.

Absolutely disgusting wait time. Lineup is 2 hours long. They know exactly how many people have booked and how many will come to rent each hour and still they don’t have enough staff. Do not rent a car from here in any circumstance.They are also letting certain people get through the fastbreak lane even though they are not members. While rest of the people are waiting for over two hours. Do better budget

Budget car rental in calgary Airport. Although we waited for over 3 1/2 hours for a previously reserved car, for which I cannot help but give a poor rating, (no stars for them) I would like to rate the young woman who was our agent. Her name was Mercy. I have only the highest praise for her. She handled the difficult situation with poise and professionalism. She was extremely kind and helpful and we thank her for that. This is only for the Calgary airport location. They were uninterested and made me wait for my Fastbreak" rental like everyone else. Then I was given bad directions to the vehicle

We booked a vehicle a couple months in advance and it was ready when we got there. Like all car rental companies, they asked if we wanted their insurance but they were not pushy when we declined. The Ford Expedition fit all 6 of us nicely and gave us no trouble throughout our trip (we put on almost 400 km). My only word of caution is to make sure you ask about any additional fees or charges if you don't bring it back with a full tank. We had some questions but our concerns were addressed and we would definitely rent from Budget again in the future.

Everything went smooth for our rental. The only issue we had was at check in. We were given the choice to have the gas tank full and pay $100 or have to fill it up ourselves before dropping it off. We were told it was 10cents cheaper to pay the $100 and not have to fill up before returning it.We ended up not using the full tank. Ultimately it is our problem but I find that sneaky on their part. There’s no reason the portion we didn’t use can’t be returned to us. As a good business strategy, this is something budget could do for their customers and it would result in a much more positive outcome.It’s little things like this that companies can do to stand out and really put the customer first. Instead, I’m out about $40. It’s not the money, it’s the principle of it all.Otherwise, the whole experience was smooth and positive.Thanks

Extremely long wait times. Budget was the only company out of all the other car rentals at Calgary airport to have people waiting over an hour to get their cars. Other companies had more people in line and everyone was cleared, while at Budget there were dozens of renters just waiting to get their car keys.I arrived around 09:30am to the line for my reservation at 10am. At around 09:45am the clerk got my information and credit card and told me I would be called by my name when the car was ready. It's now 11am and I am alongside dozens of other user still waiting for my car. 1 hour after my reservation and no car even though I was here on time.I did not see any other car rental company having this kind of issue.In the picture you can see the diference between Budget and the other companies.

Vehicle-Ready Report was a farce. We could not find the scratch it said was on the car but found many others. Take Care Be aware, it makes it hard to trust the rental company’s.

The single worst car rental spot ever.Avoid at all costs.Customer service is nonexistent, and they do not answer calls sometimes at all.The lady we dealt with was very very arrogant. I mean seriously, what did we do or say to her to get that attitude. I can’t remember her name but we dealt with her on (only lady there at the time) at 3:30 pm on June 14.Customer service generally was horrible as the drop off location was also not specified and were given a general postal code, that code led us to a different place and we pretty much had to ask our way back.We were overcharged more than 125 dollarsI have rented cars in Dubai, Toronto, London, Manchester, Calgary (before with Enterprise), Winnipeg, Vancouver, the US (hertz), and this budget location was the single worst one.Edit: One thing I forgot, the wait times are hell as well!
