Rita's Tea Room
A great tribute to one of Canada's finest East Coast singers. Tea room is wonderfully adorned. Rita's Tea blend is flavourful, the tea cups, saucers and tea pots (all available in the gift shop) are very elegant. Our meal (tea for two, although on the pricey side, was top notch. The sweets (deserts) were ' to die for'. Also, I have found the very best Oat Cakes quite possibly in the world here at Rita's. Certainly they have set a new benchmark as far as tasty oat cakes go. Great food in an elegant setting with great east coast music in the background.

We were at Rita’s Tea Room at the beginning of September. My mother in law lost a SD card in their parking lot. When we returned home we called to see if they found it and our good luck they did. I asked to have it sent to us and that we would pay the postage. They sent the package but would not take any money for the postage . They were so friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful place to visit and learn about this amazing, award winning Canadian Icon. Well worth a visit to sit and have a cuppa

We bought our house in March of 2017 and after moving some shelves the previous owner left we found this postcard for Rita's tea room. We had been discussing a trip to the area for a while so decided if we did go we'd have to stop and bring it with us. We finally took the trip in summer of 2018 and of course made sure Rita's was on the route. Tea and food we're delicious, and now we have a great story.

If you enjoy her music this is a wonderful place to visit. It was her home and now houses the tearoom as well as a collection of her awards and history. Plus the food is great and not that expensive.

My daughter was car sick after driving from Port Hawksbury so we stopped at Ritas. My daughter sat at a listening station while my wife and I had coffee and we left with some new CDs and a little girl with a new appreciation for Cape Breton music.

Visited this place with my mother last year on the way to the ferry. We loved it so much we came back this year. A nice lite bite before getting on the boat, from friendly staff and surrounded by lovely memories of Rita MacNeil
