Okanagan Vision Therapy

Honestly, when I began the journey of concussion recovery with Okanagan Vision Therapy I had nothing to loose. I chose to make the most of the process and put in ALL of the work in - in order that I could achieve the best possible outcome. My therapist was professional and knowledgeable and so gentle and considerate, that I could not help but want to do my best. My outcomes exceeded the expectations of all of my practitioners. I am very grateful for the support and encouragement that I received. The OVT team was always flexible and available to answer questions and support me through the process. I fully believe that I could not have achieved the results without OVT.

I was referred to Okanagan Vision therapy for visual symptoms related to my two concussions. Following a thorough assessment by Dr. Walker, I was diagnosed with Post Trauma Vision Syndrome . I completed 15 weeks of in-office therapy with Kaleigh in Vernon, who was so kind and knowledgeable. I am so grateful to the optometrists and vision therapists at OVT for the work they do and for my timely recovery!

We had the best experience at Okanagan Vision Therapy. From our first appointment to the end of our therapy sessions the staff were caring, informative and took the time to have a genuine connection with my son. Amir was the absolute best therapist for my son. He developed a quick rapport, hooked my son into having fun while working on his eye therapy and he is amazing with kids. And on top of all of that he is extremely knowledgeable in his field. We would highly recommend Okanagan Vision therapy to anyone.

My experience with Okanagan Vision Therapy was amazing! The office staff were very friendly and helpful. my vision therapist Loreta was absolutely amazing. I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. From a car accident I suffered a bad concussion that left me with vision and cognition problems. Their knowledge and training has allowed me to be symptom free and get back to day to day life which I am so happy about.

I have been healing from a head injury for 10 months and progress was scary and slow until I started vision therapy in three months ago. The improvements I have had with speech, motor skills, fatigue and vision is a direct result to vision therapy. It is worth every cent.

Excellent care and knowledgeable staff. They helped with my vision after suffering a concussion. Lizzy was very understanding and supportive. She was always available to answer questions and provided relative tasks and exercises to reach my vision goals. She was very easy to work with and made the therapy fun in a relaxed atmosphere. The therapy helped me understand some of the reasons for my concussion symptoms and address them with therapy. I can't say enough about Lizzy, the doctors and staff. They helped me get my life back. Our son’s experience with Okanagan Vision Therapy was amazing. We found the exercises simple to follow and saw huge improvements over the 12 weeks. The best part was Amir, our son’s vision therapist who he absolutely adored.

Dr.Walker was so amazing with my 2 year old, my son wanted nothing to do with any of it for a good part of the appointment and Dr.Walker was so calm and patient, didn’t seem bothered by it one bit and even sat on the floor with us for the entire appointment when my son refused to go in the room. When my son came around to the testing he was happy and comfortable ! I would absolutely recommend to anyone! Ive honestly rarely seen patience like this from professionals.
