EDIT as of 9/12/2020: They did respond to my emails after I emailed a separate email address of theirs- my payment had gotten lost which is why they stopped responding. After they saw my new email however they did a manual check and then sent me results the same day. I'm not sure why my payment didn't get recorded properly, but I guess it wasn't entirely their fault, maybe a system or something messed up. Either way their responses were quick and thorough after the problem was detected. Changed the review rating from 2 to 4 stars since the problem was solved quickly and efficiently.-----original review:I would not recommend this company for anybody within the U.S- Although, that's not the reason for my negative review, because I understand they cant control whats happening to our mail system right now. (massive delays to mail within the country- and even more massive of a delay to other countries)They seem to have received my sample on August 26th- they sent me an invoice via PayPal, the payment method I chose. I payed it instantly, and informed the person I had been emailing that it seemed that they got the sample. I have now waited over a week for a response. Their website informs that results are reported" (emailed or mailed? not sure.) within 2-3 business days. It's been well over that time period since they've gotten my sample. Poor communication since that point- makes me extremely suspicious of the legitimacy of this company. The only thing making me think they're an actual lab is the fact that other people seem to use it and receive results just fine. I'll change my review if something changes but right now

They are quick to respond to emails, I will give them that (perhaps this is because no one is using their services). However, they are rude in their correspondence. No people skills whatsoever, couldn't even answer a simple question without being aggressive.update: Thank you for also changing your passive aggressive response to my review, I noticed that someone changed it after realizing their error. Some stars for owning up to your mistakes:)

I give them 3 stars because sending samples from the United States to Canada can take up to 5 weeks to get back results and that’s not very quick for results. . I actually send some samples for 3 birds in a HealthGene envelope and still waiting for the arrival after 4 weeks. Some how I sent in a simple sample for 1 birds a week and half later and got back the results. How did a single sample beat a three pack? You can pay $30 for tracking but who wants to pay that much extra for convenience to follow up on? The service is great once it gets to them and they do get back to you within a couple days of arrival. Certificates are amazing as well.

I give this company -5. This is the WORST company I have ever delt with. Sent tests in December called few times in January, did NOT recieve tests. Pups were sold at lower price because tests havent arrived. Called again March 28. Supervisor would not give me her name. Supervisor told me test results were emailed in January. I asked for proof she refused. I asked for refund she refused. The next day she emailed papers. Today she wouldnt take my call had someone eles. I asked her name she refused I asked for her supervisors boss name she refused.

I been using these guys for over a year, yes it can take alittle long to get back, and if u want it back quick go to your vet and spend 80 bucks, they only charge 17 bucks and it takes alittle longer but I always had great service with them

This is the worse company to use for birds. In 2011 when I had several birds DNA'd they company sent me all wrong results. I could not believe it. They did refund me.I decided to give them another chance. And after 6 weeks, I called them and they said we barely received the bloodwork."Still no call

Reliable and fast in their services!!! I needed a parentage test for my puppies and after long reasearch I found healthgene. They were happy to answer all my questions and provide me with a kit so I can do my parentage test without having to delay my testing due to wrong sample submission. The process was fast, easy and I received my results in the time frame that It was speciffied.The price is accesible comparing to other labs that I called.I am happy with the result and I strongly recommend their services.

So happy I found this company, every time I call a polite person answers the phone, quickly. Staff is very helpful with answering any questions you might have. Not to mention they are fairly priced. I highly recommend!

We called for a pick up. When they did not come, we called to remind them and were told that the driver would not come back. It wasn't our fault that they missed us for some reason. Now I have blood samples sitting for the long weekend. I would not use these guys ever again. This is service ?

I have been using this lab for five years now: an excellent customer service and quick DNA test results. In my opinion, the best laboratory for avian DNA testing. Thanks guys.
