Fendock

Recently had a custom dock installed at our cottage, which included delivery by Shawn. The dock was really well constructed/durable and the customer service was fantastic! Since it was installed, we've had dozens of people on our lake ask where we got it from and recommended Fendock to everyone. Keep up the good work guys!

I have been a customer of Fendock for many years. We had a dock installed at our family cottage several years ago and Fendock provided excellent customer service and installation, and a great product. They also provided useful instructions on long-term care of the dock and how to effectively remove the dock in the fall and re-install in the summer.More recently Fendock installed a new door for a rental property in Ottawa. I was very pleased with the level of service and attention to detail. My tenants were also very happy with the installation process.Fendock is a great family owned business that puts customers first.

Terrible experience with Fendock.My dock was damaged during a storm. That’s when I found out having a boat tied to your dock voids your warranty.Seriously!? How many future customers know that?What should people do? Get out in the storm and drive their boat to a boat launch and retrieve it?With the help of a contractor friend I rebuilt it with reinforcements and replaced the deep water stabilizer bar. A product the company has had a history of failing.The dock was never the same after being bent and when the second stabilizer bar failed the dock collapsed last July.It is now 10 months later. The company has done nothing but give me the run around, while making demands of me. They were insistent on my removing my dock from the water. ( no doubt not liking it being displayed)I’ve sent pictures and video only to find out theyhad no inventory anyways.At this point they don’t even return my calls or last emails.In the end Its not a great product, but the service and warranty is worseI love shopping Canadian and local is even better but take my word for it.Run, don’t walk from Fendock.

Can't praise Fendock enough for their help in resolving an issue with a damaged dock received (no fault of theirs). Fendock went above and beyond to resolve a problem, and then some. Fantastic experience with Fendock! They were very friendly and professional and did a great job installing the dock at my family cottage. The dock is extremely high quality and looks fantastic. We have had a number of our neighbours comment on the deck, and have been happy to refer them to Fendock.

Fendock/Fendoor (Fendor) Deserves a 6 star rating.If you are looking for commercial windows / Glass for an exotic staircase this the company for you.

Great local business that makes a great product. Their light aluminum frame makes taking the dock out and putting it in a simple process. Have had ours for almost 10 years and it looks like it’s new. A great investment for any cottage owner. I'm quite certain the one star reviews are from trolls who do not have a Fendock dock.

Very happy with my truss dock after several years and bought an extension for it today. The dock is as good as new and is easy to roll in and out of the river.

Fendock is an example of a well run company. I have a truss dock that is very stable and aged very well. Some sections are 14 years old. I have bought thru dealers (Arnprior HH), directly and ordered on line and had no issues.

I purchased a roller ramp May 25, 2020 from a local distributor for Fendock and like other reviewers was also happy that the product was made locally in Ottawa. There was a manufacturing error made on my ramp and one roller and brace were out of alignment. This was discovered after spending a couple of hours assembling the product.I contacted the dealer I purchased it from , C.A. Reiche and Sons Ltd in Pembroke, and advised them of the problem including five pictures. I further visited the dealer the following day to make it clear what the problem was. They put me in touch with Mike (shop manager) and we spoke on the phone and I explained again what the problem was. He told me he would try to find out what went wrong and promised to call me the next day.Mike texted me on the 11th of June and asked me send more pictures. I sent four more pictures. He still couldn’t figure out what was going on and asked for more pictures specifically of the two rails.Later that day I received a text from Mike saying he would come to my cottage on Friday and he asked what I would like him to do. Replace the whole ramp or replace the defective rail. I agreed to only replace the rail.Friday June 12th Mike arrived in the afternoon. I asked him if Fendock would offer me a discount of $350 and just drill the three new holes in the existing rail to correct the problem. He said they would not do that. He disassembled the defective rail and removed each of the rollers and braces and reassembled them onto the new rail. He spent about an hour or so completing the ramp.So at the end of the day I end up with a product I paid over $4,000.00 for but with much bother and time spent to acquire it. No company/product is perfect but what separates good companies from mediocre ones is how problems are dealt with. I would not recommend this company.
