It's so hard to justify ordering from brick and mortar stores when their service is so much poorer than online competitors. I have tried making two large purchases in the last 6-months from a New TV (In stock - in store), and a stroller (in stock-online). Both times I tried to have Best Buy price match but both times, they refused to price match Amazon or Toys R Us. The TV they wouldn't price match it for me as the rep told me it would be below their cost and they weren't able to match the price for Boxing day. The Stroller, they told me they do not price match any online offers? Despite being able to go-in person to buy the stroller around the block. I used to really appreciate the warranty options, and for large purchases a store front to use. It may just be an issue with this location but it's baffling to me that Best Buy does have a price match policy and recommends going in-store to use it. Maybe they aren't interested in competing with Amazon and their competitors, rather disappointing as this used to be a great reliable store...

Excellent store. Especially worth mentioning how helpful and accomodating the staff is. I mistakenly opened a pair or earphones which I then wanted to return. Even though online policies mentioned that it cant be returned, the staff understood my concern and gave me a full refund as store credits.Full marks to their operations and customer centric approach.

Overall basically the same as most Best Buys. This one is large and has a lot of brand specific displays and reps for them. That is good because they often have in-depth product knowledge. I purchased a Chromecast there and the Google rep was of great assistance.

Went there today to buy JBL Partybox! Nobody wants to help or assist. I’ve asked 3 associates and told me they will call somebody to help me after 20mins and still no one came to help! Despite the fact that it’s very quiet inside the store not even busy day for them. Ohh by the way! before i went out i tried to talk again to one of the associates and ask for help and she is very irritated and too obvious don’t wanna help. Definitely not going back to this Location (Bestbuy St. James Winnipeg)

Needed a new laptop and printer. Went inside to figure out what I need. Talked to the sales staff about laptops. They weren’t like the old geek squad that took pride in knowing all the details and nuances about every product. They just kind of listened and gave me one suggestion.What worked better was looking at the laptops and trying them. The instrument section was awesome and the squad was so helpful and passionate in that section.

Best tech shop in Winnipeg. I like their store layout. It is much more organized. Staffs are friendly and helpful. But some of them have not enough knowledge on the items they are responsible for. I do realize that they are sales associate, not expert. But sometimes it is good to have a knowledgeable associate around.

Purchased a new Item(Tv). I would say that Veronica and Fasica was great and informative about the product. Was about to leave the store and Lyle had stop us and chat a little bit.Very entertaining and nice. Would definitely go back there.

Never gonna buy there again. The one at the south is much better. The shop can’t even arrange more than 6 people waiting to pay. Stuff just hanging around doing nothing. I was spending 8 dollar and need to wait for half hours. And they start to blame you not wait in the line and actually u waited in the line and get called but to front up. What a racist shop. Not recommend to shop there

Returned an item today. All cashiers (2-3 were busy with customers), customer service desk was busy with an employee and customers. I would say that service wise it was pleasant, two associates were kind and just told me to hold off, however it would be best if the cashiers would actually just do what they are supposed to and not engage in long conversations and have other customers wait and disrupt other working employees. Management clearly needs to set a standard for all. Thanks to the two employees (one was a team lead) and another tall white employee who was busy with a task but accommodated me anyways.
