Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery

Drove past here today trying to visit my babcha. Not only were the gates closed but the cemetery is completely covered in grass 4 feet or taller. Truly disturbing to see this. Let us visit our loved ones you cruel bunch of inhumane individuals.

This is disgusting. I come form out of town to mourn my loved ones and the cemetery is still closed. I am glad to see how much the management truly cares about the grounds. I am sure if you ask for volunteers to help clean up the tree debree it will get done over a weekend. Pretty sad state of affairs.

Is this normal. The cemetery has been closed for two months. I have loved ones I can't go see My sister wants to go see her daughter and she can't. It's totally making her sick. It's affecting her health. Open the cemetery. People are getting sick over this and there nothing we can do. I get believe we have to go threw this in 2023. No compassion what so ever!!!!!

This place is the worst cemetery in montreal! For years they have had labor conflicts and therefor have blocked people from visiting their loved ones... imagine having lost your dear one and you can’t even just go sit by their grave and cry! This is so disgusting! I regret having my parents and grandparents buried here... unfortunately they had already bought their plots otherwise I would never have chosen this place!

I am APPALLED at this cemetery. All of my loved ones are buried here. On top of the extreme cost, and as if the cemetery hours arent already terrible and unaccommodating, they are now on strike. We are now unable to visit our loved ones who we PAID to have buried there. This cemetery is a disappointment and to keep family members away from their loved ones is disgraceful. I speak on behalf of all my family and friends who feel the same. We will be looking into legal action against the cemetery.

The only service they actually have no trouble providing is cashing their cheques. I don't understand how something with such a simple business model can be so badly managed. They charge an arm and a leg and people die literally EVERY day and they can make this a working business? Pathetic.To top it all, when my dad died a few years ago, the day of the funeral every staff member looked lost and was almost completely useless. I understand how jobs get monotonous after a while but if you can't understand that a grieving family need guidance on the day of a funeral, you should absolutely not be in this business. And of course let's not forget the garbage upselling techniques. Plus when it's all said and done the grounds of the less expensive plots aren't event well maintained.

You guys are ridiculous. Tomorrow is my dad's death anniversary of 11 years, this is an extremely important day to me. You need to end this strike because there are plenty of people who are wanting to see their loved ones. You guys are CLOWNS. I have to miss seeing my dad because of your strike.

I am in dismay at the state and administration of this Cemetery. My husband is buried here going on 2 years. The section in which he is buried as yet to be cover with grass. Literally, it is a dirt path. To make matters worst the cemetery has been close for months. Completely ignoring grievers legal rights to visit their love ones. In addition, the physical state of the cemetery is deplorable there is garbage very where. I am in total shock. Finally, administration is blaming the closure on the ice storm that happen months ago. Basically, using the ice storm as a scape goat to the fact that they cannot reach a settlement with their workers. This is not acceptable. At this point I feel like the government, courts, families should intervene. This is psychologically damaging experience for grieving families.

Wish I could give no stars at all. Cemetery has been closed more than open. Can't visit to mourn or pay respects to our loved ones. Having known, we would have picked a different site for our dearly departed.
