Halifax Buy and Sell - Hydrostone

My favorite place in the city to buy electronics and video games. They always have a really crazy selection and if I'm short the money they always offer layaway or payment plans which I find absolutely amazing especially in this hyperinflated economy.

Terrible customer service. I visited them this morning looking to get a pawn on my laptop. I had called them the day before asking what the normal range for the type of computer I had would possibly be. The guy I spoke to refused to give a range and said he would have to see it.Well when I walked into their shop today and introduced myself as the guy who called yesterday and described the computer I had. The response was the best we can give you is $20. He didn't even bother asking to look at, which he said yesterday he needed to do when I spoke to him yesterday. His justification for offering $20 was that he has a similar one for sale for $40.The computer I have is worth $1600 new, even less depreciation and resale value, it was nowhere as low as $20. This place is nothing more then a licence to steal. It's seedy and looks run by a criminal organization. Beware.

Great guys in there always understanding and Experianced with every product they have in shop, they offer best prices I've seen, 75% spot price on gold which is best in city for pawn shops, best stop to shop and sell, mostly higher end products no time wasters, lots of instruments, jewelry, games, and tons more

Excellent shop. Fair prices, also flexible when you're buying more than one thing. Very knowledgeable about the stuff they sell. Great customer service. Probably some of the cheapest video games in Halifax, and great selection of games. Very lenient policies on pawn loans, and these guys actually care about getting their customers stuff back to them. Very trustworthy, and a great new pawn shop for Halifax.Five stars!

god awful service. The staff are all local crack dealers.. Ash on quinpool is more reliable then this place an that is really saying something

Wasn't very impressed when my bipolar son was in a hypo manic state and was buying something that had a stickered price but another price was somewhere else on it. They decided to not honor the cheaper tag price but charged him the higher price..... he is happy with it in the end but was disappointed none the less

worst pawn shop ever.. they only pawn stuff for their friends.. A friend of mine wanted to pawn his PS5 for a week and they wouldnt do it.. boo on you... i will never do business with them
