Sync is great except they will delete all your files for no reason. It happened to me three times and I submitted tickets but no answer. I tried to figure out why but it must be a glitch on their system. When you try to restore your deleted files, they come out of order with duplicates. This is very frustrating and disappointing.

I agree with one review here, Sync does not sync! And looking at the most recent review, sounds like someone from within the company made it to balance out the overall review rating! What a shame, they won't even accept what we have to say and rather mask the score by making a positive review themselves! Pathetic!

I have been using SYNC for a few years now and have never had any issues. When I needed to change my hardware at home, I asked sync support for clarifications on how to proceed, and they were more than happy to confirm the process for my hardware change. I would have no issues recommending this company for secure backups of important files and documents.

Although still needs some improvements, works well and customers service replay in once day max.Only thing I don't understand is the delete files section. Each folder has its own bin folder" instead of one bin folder for all delete files."

I started using Sync 6 years ago. First few years the cloud storage worked great. We had a business account with multiple users and 1TB storage. Few weeks ago my account no longer synced, while a colleague’s account was still running smooth. Support dep.: you should remove a few million files and use a max. of 300.000 files. No clue why another user in the same account didn’t have issues at all but apparently we are no longer welcome. We moved to a Dutch provider.

I have been using Sync for many years, and it is OK, but since my first installation til now, Sync has struggled to fix issues and add basic features that are essencial in my opinion. For example, the desktop app is very poorly designed, file conflict resolution is a hassle (should be as easy as entering the interface and chosing the correct file), on a hardware update, the sync folder gets messed up because of so many conflicts. I have been postponing the update of the desktop app for more than 1 year, in feer that I would have trouble. Now I finally did it and... LOTS OF TROUBLE. All this amongst other simple problems that I would expect to be solved but seems like will never be. I have the impression that development has halted and the company is stagnant.

Sync doesn't even Sync! This is a terrible service. Don't waste your money!! When I update a document on one device it does not update on another device. When I emailed customer service they asked me to take photos of each file on each document on each device that did not sync to send them. I have hundreds of documents that did not sync between devices. I told them I don't have time to do this and they said they cannot fix the problem if don't. This product doesn't work!!!

I have been using Sync for 3 years, and they never cease to amaze me! They continue to add new features, without raising the price. For example, this year they launched brand new mobile apps, which include the ability to sync local. Now I can access my files while offline. Support has been fast and efficient, although it's email only. They are also Canadian, and according to their website all files are stored in Canada (which is better from a data privacy perspective). I believe they offer a free plan, so I would recommend giving that a try first. Nice to have an alternative to some of the other more expensive options.
