Once Upon A Child

I went in recently and had a wonderful experience! The staff was so kind and helpful, and the prices on some of the items I found were great! I also dropped off some of my stuff and got them back today, it was so much easier then selling them myself and I still got a good amount of money for my stuff! Overall I love this store, and am planning on returning soon!

A fair bit pricier than a lot of other used stores, plenty of items range from 3-10 dollars but we found quite a few items for 30 plus. The interesting part of that is most of the items we purchased for sale here are on for just a dollar or two less than they would be from the store they originated from. Most of the shoes we looked at weren't gently used. The store is a bit claustrophobic with thin aisles and items towering above you. Both me and my partner were overwhelmed by the sheer volume, though the organization by size is spot on. Customer care is lacking as the staff is basically trying to make things fit throughout the store. I don't expect a lot of service in general but we didn't even get a hello and four team members basically shrugged amongst themselves until one of them was told to ring us through. Pretty weird experience.My main drawback is that the items we purchased were heavily perfumed, I don't think it was by the people who sold their items to the store as they all smell the same. Our family is very sensitive to perfumes and after six washes on hot the items still smell. For that reason alone I wouldn't recommend this store.

I used to love sell my baby items to once upon a child they use pay really well for baby items but now not worth it because they don't pay well anymore and also notice some prices are high in there . even though they get a bunch of free stuff . I won't recommend selling to them . just rip off place ! i can get better deal at the thrift shop !

I went to check out this store and it's SO OVERPRICED for used toys, clothing shoes, baby items. I was in complete shock. For those prices you can pay an extra couple bucks and buy new. This is a USED children store... won't be going back.

WARNING: DON’T ARRIVE WITH A SLEEPING BABYI want to start by saying that my wife and I LOVE the idea of this place. Hence I have to give one star. I recognize there are a lot of comments about high prices for used apparel, but I find them reasonable. The clothes prices are reduced from new and that’s all you should expect given the quality and that this is a business earning relatively no margins after rent, employee wages, utilities, franchise fees, etc. We should all want to support a business doing good and being part of the change and revitalization of a dodgy part of town.Where I take issue is the absolute supersonic beep that is sure to wake up any sleeping baby, deaf patrons - maybe even the deceased. The entry *chime* is obviously broken as it seems to alert even if someone is in the aisle nearest to the entry which is utterly unnerving. It turned us off buying two baby bunting suits in that aisle - and ultimately any outfits because the sound made an unpleasant experience. Even once awoken, our baby was irritated by the loud beep. There are wearable pagers that can be attached to belt loops, thus allowing you to have a more discreet alert that someone is in the store.Following the visit, we learned that many of our friends have had the same experience. We will wait a few months before returning to see if they fix the chime. I sincerely hope they do, as I would love for this store to succeed! Had a horrible experience. Dropped off a couple bags full of pretty much new baby clothing and apparently it had stains n was to old which I know for sure it wasn't and they bought 4 items for $4 like that's just a rip off I use to love the store but I will ne taking my business to the medicine hat location

This store refused so much from me because it just wasn't the right style"even though there was multiple trendy items in there that were name brand . Assuming everyone just has the same style ☠️ then after that WHOLE ordeal you paid me 2.25$ for a ripped Hawaiian shirt and some faded biker shorts. Not to mention when I did purchase stuff there the isles were packed

Love, love, this store!!! I have brought lots of stuff for them to buy, but I've found so much more to take home! Don't shop there if you can't take an hour. There's so much stuff. I could shop all day...especially if you have a little train of kiddies who need new shoes and new clothes almost 4 times year. Very good prices, especially of you shop on the days of sale. I will definitely be back again and again! Also thanks to the staff for being so kind and always helpful. It's a pleasure shopping in your store.

The staff here went above and beyond. Someone tried to sell them items that had been stolen from my store and the staff brought the items back to my store. A call for us to pick the items up would have been enough, but to bring them back to my store, that's above and beyond. Thank you for doing your best to make sure you aren't being brought stolen items.
