Aikido Yoshinkai Canada

I felt unwelcome there. After driving all the way from Brantford I wasn't allowed to train, only watch and that's after I told them I've done Aikido before.I could've signed the waiver and there was no reason I couldn't train that day. The feeling is that the black belt teaching that day just didn't want to deal with someone he thought is a newbie".After the training he didn't even talk to me

I studied briefly with Sensei in the late 80's, and was very impressed with him. Kind, polite, no ego, but OTOH there was no doubt who was in charge. His knowledge of the techniques was thorough and at a high level. He was big on working rather than talking. I found the Yoshinkai Aikido very straight forward and practical. The breakfalls I learned there I have used in application work ever since. I am convinced that i saved myself a lot of breaks and sprains by this alone. I finally decided to stick with Wu Style TCC(which I had done for years prior- long story). I simply didn't have time to fit everything in work, long commute, two martial arts, renovate my house- martial arts were stressing me out!Certainly one of the good ones, and exceptionally qualified. The word Master" gets thrown around a lot in martial arts circles ... this is one of the real ones. I am so glad that he is still teaching all these years later. The Hamilton area is lucky to have him."

Would love to try but no update on Saturday classes. So i wasted my time waiting.
