We had a fantastic stay. We arrived last minute with our dog and had no reservation, and while there was no designated dog-friendly room available the entire staff went above and beyond to find us a room. Really, really appreciated their effort and were super happy with our room! Thanks again!

Darrell (the owner) and his whole crew were amazing! Best of the hotels we stayed at in newfoundland. Very clean, friendly and great ocean views. Would recommend to anyone.

This was a lovely place to stay. The staff here were the highlight - so kind, helpful, really went the extra mile to make us comfortable. Really really hard working and it was greatly appreciated. Room was clean and comfortable. Really appreciated the kitchen area.Food from the restaurant was excellent - especially the ribs!!Highly recommend this motel and I hope to stay here again.

We loved our stay here! Right on the water, with a number of attractions (theatre, Henry Payne museum, to name a few). The room was perfect, the restaurant was great, and the staff was friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend staying here!

A place to go for sure! Awesome service, delicious food at the restaurant, and our room in a separate building was perfect with the view on the bay on our personal little deck. There's even a picnic table if you wish to eat outside. We stayed there 2 nights and would return if we go back to the Western Coast of NL!

Shallow Bay Motel & Cabins
Three days and nights at this hotel were time well spent. The location is close to Gros Morne Park with so much to do there. The immediate area has a lovely bay, sunsets to the west over water, a nearby beach and local golfing. The dining room is very good and there is an attached lounge that can get quite entertaining ( Karaoke on Wed nights !). Very good value for the money......you won't be disappointed !!

Great family room motel by the sea. The ocean is literally right outside your room. A good location to visit Gros Morne and area from. Staff is excellent and if you are lucky you will hear a story or two from Sharon.

Shallow Bay Motel & Cabins
We have stayed in the older and newer cabins. While the newer cabins are perhaps a little nicer, both were great places to stay while visiting the local theater. Clean and comfortable and well appointed. My only recommendation would be to provide larger garbage cans, or a large tin outside the entrances. Super convenient to both the restaurant and the theater. We would definitely stay again.
