H&R Block

Never use H&R Block they are the worst tax service. Use a real accountant it costs less and they do a better job. I called at least 30 times to book an appointment because they messed up my paperwork and I left them messages to call me back but they never did. These people do the bare minimum and made me sit for hours waiting for some simple service to get a print out of what they did for me so I could take the papers to a real accountant to fix their mistake. If you are looking for a real quality accountant at a better rate than this rip off amateur service let me know I will link you to him.

I’ve been going to H&R Block to file my taxes for years. I never had a bad thing to say; especially last year the accountant was great to help me out when numbers weren’t adding up.This year I am completely disheartened by the company. I thought for sure that a company as reputable as H&R Block would not take advantage of people. When I was told I would receive a couple hundred dollars back I was happy, until I asked the charge to have it done was nearly the amount I was getting back. Zero customer service, zero empathy. How can the company not care about it’s customers and price-gauge during a worldwide pandemic? Talking with friends, family & coworkers, (some filed the same day as me even) with different places and not one spent anywhere near the amount it cost me. I wish I had researched this year. Save your money and go elsewhere. I’ve learned the hard way.

Very accommodating with appointments, did a great job, explained everything thoroughly, very impressed.

I don’t think it’s the right place to go through your tax with them specially, Nancy until today from three months ago until now I keep sending documents to the Canadian tax return because she did not fill out all the document and send it. I paid to her over $500, because she did for me the US and the Canadian tax return i keep having problems because of her work missing too many things and I did it with Nancy only one time and it is the last time

I usually file income tax for US gambling winnings, and last year I decided to take them to H&R Block in the US, near my winter home for expediency, rather than bring them back to this location which usually does them for me. Well, long story short, the US location royally screwed the return up, and it became a living nightmare with the IRS. A year passed without any refund, and the IRS continually said it was in review because they just had not been done right. I brought everything back up to this location and Nancy looked after them and resubmitted them, and within about 6 weeks, I received a sizeable return, exactly what was submitted. Needless to say, I should have brought these taxes here in the first place, as they had done a great job the year before, they understand how to submit US taxes and now I would go nowhere else.

We just had our first ever experience with H&R block and will never be back. The receptionist, Linda, was extremely rude especially when we asked why our total was over $300 when we expected to be paying $49.99 for each return. When I asked why our total was so much, she said it was because we had multiple pieces of paper to go through, and when I pointed out I only had two, she just shrugged. So unprofessional. Do not use this location.

I was dealing with a private accountant who was incompetent and highly unorganized. I switched to H&R block, our tax accountant Dorota was extremely professional, organized and knowledgeable. She was able to deal with some issues in a timely manner. I will be using H&R every year!

worst customer service. first lady took an hour to process my return then didnt complete it. made me rebook for the next week. went in so thet can process my gf retunr who had 2 t4!!!! only. took an hour to process it and didnt even complete it. the accoutant had no clue what he was doing. after an hour the receptionisy said we have to go because the next appointment arrived. so both mine and my gf retunr were not completed after the second appointment. they were fully book apparently the rest of the day. they made is go to another h and r 20 mins a way. it took another hour for these people to send my info to the h and r on they other side of town. by the time from start at 850am to 1 pm we were waiting for theae people wasting time. and they over charged. dont go to thos location. i have also heard while i was there so many people are getting audited because of mess ups from theae accountant. watch out.

I was recommended by a friend to go to Denise at this location to file my taxes. I can positively say I have never had a better experience, she was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and polite. I had a great experience thanks to Denise and will be returning and recommending to everyone.
