Proper Finish - Exterior Wood Refinishing

We reached out to Proper Finish to help with the maintenance of our newly installed Thermory Ash custom fence and staircase. Guillermo was quick to respond and helped to provide guidance in terms of the process, timing and cost associated with the work. As this was his first time working with this particular type of thermally modified wood, he took the time to research how to properly care for the wood to ensure that it was done to the highest standard. We were so impressed by how thoughtful he was in his approach to the work he does. He was just as excited about our fence as we were!The results surpassed our expectations. The fence and staircase were the colour and finish that we were after. I hired Proper Finish to power wash, sand, and stain the front and back porch, and the stairs on the back. One porch is pressure-treated wood and one is cedar, and both received the same stellar treatment. I was astonished that the team managed to remove every trace of blackness left over the years by raccoons getting into the old green bins. They also moved a structure from the porch and put it back for me, and refreshed the paint on two posts and a side wall, colour-matching what was already there. Guillermo provides very detailed and thorough quotes, and he is a pleasure to deal with. His pride in his work and his enjoyment in the results are obvious. He even chose my stain colours for me when I wasn't sure, and they are perfect. The whole team were friendly and did great work. I highly recommend Proper Finish.
