H&R Block

I uploaded my documents on april 24th to file my taxes and i haven’t heard back from them yet

I am writing this as I sit in the parking lot of this St-Joseph H&R Block location. On march 10 I received an email from one of the agents confirming that my file was ready for me to come in and sign. She also confirmed and appaoinemt for me on March 20 for 9:00am. 9:15 the agent comes into the office, coffee in hand, apparently oblivious to the fact that she had an appointment with me. The receptionist then comes to tell me that they will now start working in my field I wanted to sit here and sitI told her that the file was already completely and that I just need to sign, and she said that it was done bu another agent but not this gent. I don't know why my file required 2 different agents to work on it. Could the other agent not have passed the completed file to this agent sometime between March 10 and March 20 and provide a quick explanation? So now I'm out $156 for a service that took them a total of 10 minutes to complete this morning while I was the one who had to wait 49 minutes for them toget their acts together?. And this was just todays service. I won't even go into the other 2 times I've had to visits this location in order to get my 2019 tax file completed. Outrageous to have to spend that kind of money for terrible service. There is also a huge poster behind the receptions desk about instant refund" but they dont even bother to explain that to you. They want you out of the office as quickly as possible. Or maybe because non of them speak English and probably can't explain it. Last time I'll ever go to H&R Block."

This is the worst H & R block I have ever worked with. I have submitted my documents since April and I have been trying to get in contact with the person who sent one email but never responds to any of my messages. I have called call no response! Now I have to go to another location to resubmit my documents and start the process all over again. I wish I didn’t have the option to give any star. This location needs to close down ASAP

this place is really bad, I booked an appointment for 2pm and even called ahead to make sure everything was a go. They said it was, when I arrived people were waiting 2-3 hours even though they had an appointment. I could see 20 minute wait, but 2-3 hours, come on... very unprofessional. The older lady working there was extremely rude she even ripped up my file when I went to complain. Went to the ontario side, paid a high price for the quebec return as they charged another 145 dollars ontop of the 168 to do an ontario return. Ridiculous... next year, I'm taking a course to do taxes, this is friggen ridiculous!!! buyer beware... don't go to the gatineau location! very poor service...

We did our taxes last year at this location. We did not finish one tax year therefore made an appointment to catch up on the previous year plus last year's. We believed the service would be as great as last time, but starting from reception, once we came in 10 minutes before our appointment, the lady didn't know who I was supposed to be with nor seem to acknowledge us to tell hs how long the wait was. For a 5:00pm appointment, we were only seen around 6:00pm. I tried to ask once to get an update and I was completely ignored by the front desk people. Once at the appointment, it took 3 people to find out what we were requesting until we were asked if we were sure we went to that location last year. Yes I am sure. I do not recommend the service this year at this location. Not friendly or willingly to help. Nothing compared to last year. I will find a new location even if I have to drive further.

I went to bring all my documents for my taxes a month ago and never heard back from them...I sent an email and I never got a reply back. Whenever I call to see where they are with my file, I always get the same message: ''We will call you back when it's ready. I went in person to ask about my file too. The employee said they would do it last week

I really regret getting my taxes done at this place. To start, they made a mistake on my Quebec tax return. I called and waited on hold for 20 minutes only to be told that the person who did my taxes was not in. They said I would receive a call back later that day. I did not get a call. I waited a couple more days before calling back. When I called back, I was placed on hold for 30 minutes only to be told I would once again receive a call back in the next couple of days. My taxes have been submitted and are awaiting assessment and I would really appreciate if they were not assessed in their current incorrect state. This is their mistake, and it's taken over an hour of my own time to try and resolve it, and it still remains unresolved. Do not go here. Literally go anywhere else.UPDATE: several more days have passed no calls from anyone. I also haven't been able to get through when I call. I have left voicemails - no call backs. I finally get a hold of someone tonight, after spending another 35 minutes on hold, and am told once again I will receive a call back. I really wish I was exaggerating. This is outrageous. Clearly the comment left below was just for show as I have not heard anything despite my constant efforts.

I had an extremely terrible experience with this H&R Hull office. They advertised a service price that was significantly lower than what I was charged when I went in for my tax preparation. Furthermore, it took them months to process my tax declaration, which was very frustrating, and the customer service was terrible. The staff was unorganized and unresponsive to my inquiries, making the whole process a nightmare. I do not recommend this tax preparation office to anyone who values their time and money. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

Edit: comment was left for the appearance of caring for customers. I’ve called multiple times, no response.Very disorganized and rude tax “experts”. With my experience with Julie M. she was rather nosy by looking over my shoulder to read my text messages with my boyfriend. As well as blame me for her lack of professionalism by failing to inform me of documents she sent without my knowledge. She did not know of e-signatures, and told me the day I came in to pay ( as I filed online) that she’s submit my filing then. After asking me every 2 mins if I had completed it while experiencing technical difficulties. As of Today (a month later), I decide to review my documents and again she fails to inform me of forms needing a signature. Now I am unaware if my taxes have/will be submitted.DO NOT USE THIS WOMAN FOR YOUR TAXES.

I booked an appointment over the phone and the person that answered the phone told me that H&R Block charges CA$ 80. When I got there the person who was doing my taxes didn't know well what to do because I had been away from Canada for the past 3 years, so he had to seek from another person.When it was time to pay the guy told me I had to pay 120 plus 70 plus 19,99 for piece of mind(what is this? I didnt understand because everywhere else this service is included), it is an absurd!. Then, he gave me a discount of CA$70 because apparently I am a newcomer. Then I told him I would like my copy online however he sent me the papers and I had to sign electronically again even though I had signed all the forms while I was at H&R Block in person. Why did I have to sign again and delay sending my papers to CRA? I just asked for my copy online instead of paper. It's been a week that I was at the H&R block and I just opened CRA website and they haven't received my taxes yet.Very expensive, disorganized, lack of communication and training.Today is March 12th(note: my appointment was on February 27th) and I just checked on CRA website and they haven't received my taxes yet. So, H&R Block, why is it taking so long to submit my taxes? Do I need to waste my time and come to H&R office to check why my taxes haven't been filed yet? Really?? I am still waiting for a reply. The reply saying that you want make sure the customers are satisfied is not an answer, as you see in you reviews, I am not the only one.
