Panda Mandarin Language Programs - Etobicoke

My daughter has been attending Panda Mandarin for a few years now (interrupted by the pandemic) and she has progressed significantly with the help of the excellent teachers. We are not a mandarin speaking family so you can imagine how difficult it would be for a child to learn but the school is really dedicated to supporting these children to speak, read and write mandarin. Small class sizes and well trained teachers.We have experienced both the old avenue rd location and now this new location. I recommend it to those thinking about lessons for their children.

We were looking for an engaging in- person Mandarin program for my child in the west end for a while before we found Panda. My child was hooked after the first trial class, which was totally unexpected since they always complain when we try to teach it at home (didn't help that we tried virtual language classes elsewhere during the pandemic and they just weren't into it...). The combination of the responsive teaching and the simple leave behind work sheets really helped my child engage with the age appropriate materials. Panda made learning Mandarin fun. The ops coordinator is also super responsive and they were really flexible in helping us to get started.

My daughter really enjoys going to her Mandarin Explorers class. The teachers really try to get the children interested in learning by getting them to engage in fun activities ie- colouring, crafts, learning new songs. The teachers also prepare weekly voice recordings of the new vocabulary that they taught in class. My daughter listens to them all the time to practice her mandarin. The program is very effective and I highly recommend it.
