Toronto Harbour Water Taxi

They are great. Even though they have a 3 people minimum policy to take the taxi to the islands, they were gracious enough to help is out. My friend forgot her belongings at Hanlon's point on our way back in the evening. These guys were nice enough to take just my friend to the island so she sould retrieve her stuff.

Good way to get to Centre Island. Rates are reasonable. The trip is quick. Recommend.

A bit too expensive for a group.

Wait time was ridiculous.Standing for atleast 40 minutes with no announcements or excuses for boat not being loaded.

I use to think these were great until I took my elderly mom and sister this fall. We lined up and paid to take the water taxi as normal. When we arrived at the island we were told this was our stop and it was time to get off as we looked at the dock standing about 4-5 feet above the back of the boat. Because the water was so low we all had to somehow climb out of the boat in order to get off. The dock was at waist/breast level even after standing on the small steps provided. It caught us all by surprise, but it was our stop and we had to somehow get off the boat. It was actually very embarrassing and could have easily been avoided if we had been given some sort of warning before getting on the water taxi to begin with. We would have simply took the farry if we had known. It should have been obvious to the crew that this would be a difficult task, especially for my senior mother. Please guys have a little curiosity and let people know before taking their money and taking them to the island, especially seniors.
