Fort Edmonton Park
Amazing experience! You get to enter some of the old buildings that were set in the time, there's even characters dressed up on costumes from that time! There's cafes and washrooms all over, and 2 trains to bring you around. Definitely bring snacks & water with you & sunscreen! Great family experience.

Fort Edmonton Park
Wonderful place for whole day, we spent 5 hours, there are so many things to see and very well organized, map was super helpful. Really had the feeling of traveling in time. You can take the super old train, meet people from old times, watch a blacksmith or listen to fur maker. Trains and rides are included in ticket price. It was really an amazing experience.

I have been coming here for 20 years. Enough to do with the whole family. Games and amusement park rides, pony and wagon rides too, food and drinks aswell. Trains and Street carts to take you around the park. Plenty to see from 1885-1920, the indigenous experience was really cool. There are actors all over the park giving history lessons. Some actors so dedicated, especially around the capitol theater that will not break character no matter what. Always a nice visit. Reasonable and consistent prices.

Most regrettably purchased a season pass unbeknownst that neither the steam Locomotive nor the ferris wheel would be operational. All so, bizarre rules apply within the exhibition, such as no repeated rides or attempts at carnival games to name a few. Despite these shortcomings, we have succumbed to the enjoyment of Fort Edmonton Park and rate it 5 golden stars. The new Native American space is a must see!

Fort Edmonton Park is truly a mini city. From the moment we stepped foot inside this captivating historical gem, we knew we were in for an incredible experience.Family Fun: Fort Edmonton Park offers a plethora of activities that are bound to keep the whole family entertained. Whether it’s exploring the bustling streets of the 1846 Hudson’s Bay Company Fort, hopping aboard the vintage steam train, or engaging in interactive exhibits, there’s never a dull moment. Our kids were thrilled to dress up in period costumes, play games from the past, and even try their hand at traditional crafts. The park truly brings history to life in the most engaging and enjoyable way possible.Easy Access: Getting to Fort Edmonton Park was a breeze! Located conveniently within the city, it was easily accessible by car or public transportation. The park’s proximity to major routes ensured a smooth and hassle-free journey. We appreciated the well-marked signs that guided us to the parking area, making it a stress-free experience from start to finish.Lack of Parking: However, it is worth noting that parking can be a bit challenging during peak hours. As the park attracts a considerable number of visitors, finding a parking spot might require a little patience and persistence. We recommend arriving early or considering alternative transportation options to make the most of your visit.Opportunities to Learn: Fort Edmonton Park goes above and beyond in providing educational opportunities for visitors of all ages. From knowledgeable interpreters who eagerly share insights and stories, to informative exhibits that showcase the rich history of Edmonton and its people, we left the park feeling enlightened and inspired. Learning about the region’s early settlement, the fur trade, and the evolution of the city was not only fascinating but also helped us appreciate the area’s heritage in a profound way.Fort Edmonton Park is a true treasure that offers a perfect blend of family fun, educational experiences, and accessibility. Despite the minor inconvenience of parking, the park’s engaging activities and historical richness make it an absolute must-visit destination for families seeking a memorable adventure. We wholeheartedly give it a five-star rating and cannot wait to return for another immersive journey into the past!

Closed Monday and Tuesday, so plan. Mid way is pleasant, rides good for family. Parking was a pain, shared lot. Park spread out, lots of walking, not much for food option if you have dietary restrictions.

Fort Edmonton Park
Went to Fort Edmonton Park as part of a school's field trip. The facade of the entrance is modern looking. There is a cafe, a gift shop, as well as washrooms near the entrance. The place is a huge museum, there is so much to see and do. There is the original Al Rashid Mosque, the very first mosque in Canada. A Masonic Hall where you can order food, burgers, hotdogs, drinks. There is also a train that goes back and forth between the Indigenous People's Experience Centre and station near the amusement park. There is a street car that stops at about every hundred meters. There is a Ferris Wheel, which was not operational when we went. The kids really had a good time here. There is also an ice cream parlour, although there were lots and lots of people lining up, they were efficient nevertheless. Walking around you will find several actors dressed in costumes from back in time. There is also a working cinema, though we did not get the chance to watch a movie due to time constraints. And there are still plenty of spaces that they can utilize to add more structures. Overall, it was a good experience.
