Derek Defaria Osteopathy Kelowna

Doing treatment with Derek has been amazing! I've seen so much progress in just a few sessions. He explains everything very clearly and is very knowledgeable about how the body works and how to treat muscle stiffness/imbalances and postural issues.

I was skeptical at first when I heard about Osteopathy. I was not sure how I would feel after the treatment or how Derek would address my pain.From the moment that I walked though the door Derek was communicating with me. He explained to me how the assessment and treatment was going to go. Every time I had a question he was quick to answer it. As he was treating me I could feel my back release. I will be seeing Derek in the future. I appreciate his attention to detail and the knowledge that he displayed. As well as his ability to communicate in a simple way for my understanding.He made me feel welcome and I would highly recommend Osteopathy to those suffering from back pain or to those who would like to try a different form of manual therapy.

For the past year and a half, maybe longer I’ve had to deal with headaches and migraines almost all days of the week from an injury and anxiety. I regularly visit a chiropractor, acupuncturist and massage therapist yet nothing seemed to help long term until I went to see Derek. After only two sessions I was able to go a month without any headaches at all. I highly recommend :)

10/10 recommend not only osteopathy, but Derek specifically!! I have dealt with knee pain since I was a kid and honestly had given up on having any kind of relief even after doing physio, massage, and chiro for years. Since seeing Derek for treatments, my regular knee pain has gone away!! He is so knowledgeable and a serious miracle worker. I wish I had discovered osteopathy sooner.

The first time I visited Derek (and my first time seeing an osteopath) was due to some sudden on-set back pain. He was able to alleviate it within 1 appointment. Needless to say he is great at what he does, and I am a true believer in the practice of osteopathy for pain relief, imbalances and general wellness.

Derek was thorough and meticulous in treating me. I already felt better from one session. He is friendly and approachable, and he takes the time to care for you. I highly recommend him for treatment of body pain and sports injuries.

Derek is fantastic. I was fortunate enough to have Derek around at a time when I had been having some medical nervous system issues and I was in quite a bit of pain. Derek really helped me with the pain and explaining exactly whet he was doing to decrease pressure on certain points. I instantly felt the relief and he always had a way of making me feel very calm and comfortable. I highly recommend his services.
