Short Notice Movers

This was the second time we have used Short Notice Movers. Both times have been a pleasant experience. The crew showed up on time, were pleasant to talk to, and cared for our furniture. Would definitely recommend them and will use them again if/when we move again!

DO NOT BOOK WITH SHORTNOTICE OR EASTERN !!!They sent three young males who looked like they were recently released from jail, with a ridiculous and bad attitude. Upon the first two minutes of meeting these individuals, after introductions, I said that the items need to be moved from the apartment straight to the truck, so they can't be leaving items in the hallways, lobby, or outside beside the truck, etc. I then said that they gotta be diligent about that because I don't want the items unattended. They said nothing and stared at me wearing their hoodies with their hands in their pockets looking clueless. They followed me into the apartment and each grabbed a box to take to the truck. I waited by the door holding the door open for them noticing that they were all coming back to get more boxes...I again stated that I didn't want items left unattended, and that's why I booked 3 people so that one person could stay in the truck to pack and relay items with the other two people, alternating if needed. Then, one of the guys named Cane started YELLING AND SWEARING at me in the hallway at the door saying that I'm f****** telling them how to do their job and that they are bringing the three boxes right back in because he's f****** done with this job. I called the weekend contact number that the secretary provided which was Ken phone number and informed him of the spectacle. (at this point the boxes were carried in a left in the hallway near the apartment door, one of the boxes the person who was yelling and swearing ('Cane') was carrying and he barged through the doorway where I was standing, hitting me in the groin with the box, literally as I was speaking to the Ken person on the phone. The person named Cane and the person named Chris were still swearing all the way through the hall as I was on the phone with the owner of the company. Ken then said to me that those are his best guys" and that he would call them and than call me back. I spent the next hour in stress on the phone calling a bunch of places to try to make a booking and thankfully I got a company booked.DO NOT BOOK WITH SHORTNOTICE OR EASTERN !!! They seem to have hoodlums for employees and it's likely the reason these companies have to change their company name so that people book with them unaware of the kind of company they are."

Please save yourselves, dont ever get this movers, we understand that if there is an hurricane you have to cancel the appointment(even last minute) as their driver showed up.. Worst part is they will tell you to get another movers, they did not bother to apologize, and they will left you hanging. They did not even tell us , they will not tell you to reschedule, they will throw you away, as if you are not worth their time. UNPROFFESSIONAL..

Short Notice Movers showed up on time, moved quickly, and treated my belongings with respect. My two bedroom apartment was moved in less than 4 hours. They even helped stage some of my furniture. I would confidently recommend them to anyone!

After a horrible experience with movers in Ontario (a different company), Short Notice Movers exceeded our expectations! We had some last minute changes to our unpacking needs (i.e., 2 trucks rather than 1), and Short Notice Movers kindly changed their plans to help make our move into our new home and province successful. On the day that we moved in, the crew arrived earlier than originally planned at our request to accommodate our needs. Each crew member was professional, respectful, hard working, and efficient. We cannot recommend Short Notice Movers enough! Everyone that we interacted with, including the office staff and the on-site crew, were exceptional! Thank you Short Notice Movers - you have great staff!

No wrap around the appliances. The top of my washer was deeply scratched down to the metal. Huge circular scratches about 18 in long and about 5 of them. Sent email and called several time over past month but no response from Ken yet. They almost forgot stuff in my storage locker. Also forgot to pack my bags of clothes in a closet. If i hadnt done a check they would have been left behind. New employees not sure on the process. Very disappointed will not use again.

The guys were very nice but they somehow managed to break our dresser and put a huge chip in my side table (I didn't notice until a few days after because we were so busy). They don't assemble anything and left our floors very dirty and were 2 hours late.We paid 500$ for the move. I regret choosing this company and I do not recommend them.

They were super great! They packed everything within the two hours they estimated even though we had a bit more stuff than we expected. Matthew and Lee were funny guys who were very positive and helpful. They even secured the boxes in the truck with some Saran wrap stuff since we didn't have any rope. We only had them load a uhaul for us. All our things made the 50 hour drive perfectly and nothing broke! Really great experience.

Hands down the BEST moving experience of my life. Amazing customer service from start to finish. The guys were efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and the woman in the office was a pleasure to talk to! She even called me the morning of to let me know they would be 15 minutes late (which they weren't- it was like 5). I cannot recommend them highly enough! They took care with our things and made sure everything was done properly. If you want a no stress, affordable, downright enjoyable move, you've found the people to do it!!

These guys moved me twice; once into storage and then again into my final destination. I could NOT have asked for better service, from Lisa in the office to the Chris and the guys doing the lugging in 35C temperatures. The rate was better than most other quotes and there was no time wasted to pad the final bill. I had nothing broken, scratched or dented. I would recommend them in a heartbeat, to anyone.
