My brother with his girlfriend and their family came from Calgary wanting to go camping. We found this place and did the reservation. We secured sites 18 and 19.Heartland it's a really beautifully place. I was very pleasantly surprised how clean the sites where, 10-15min from the city, lots of trees and a lot of shade from the hot sun.The unfortunate side is that Heartland doesn't have any water source in the whole bottom section of the campground. It would have been a more enjoyable experience if bathrooms with proper plumbing existed in the campground and I would have consider staying there more often and longer periods of time if those existed.

Last minute booking!!! Rainy cold night with no place to stay but host took us in. Our campervans were self-contained so we didn't need hook-ups for the night. Beautiful treed area, but as it was raining so hard we didn't see anything else.

Horrible....the owner was extremely unprofessional and rude when we tried to bring our concerns up. The pit toilets were all full and disgusting upon arrival and were pretty much unusable, although we had no choice but to use them. There was no water to use and we were not told to bring our own. It was WAY over priced. 100% rip off and miss advertised.

Not your conventional place to stay.I liked the lots; they are of of various sizes and shapes. Heartland is not 200 RV's in a field bordering an airport strip nor is it a collection of 8+ slots separated by hedges. It reminds me of a farm with a lot of area for people to park or put up a tent.I've been there many times for short and extended stays in my 37' RV. I will continue to visit.

Highly recommended. Portable Toilets are cleaned, no smell. Campsites are big and lots of trees. Owners are really nice to talk to. Whenever we're in town, no problem with accommodation, 20 mins drive to downtown.

Nice forested site without amenities besides portable washrooms that were not maintained and the promise of showers that were not working to our surprise upon arrival. The reason for the 1 star review was another surprise in which we were paying $35 for what we believed was a tent site, but was actually $35 PER TENT. Website was deceiving and when this was brought to the attention of the host, received a condescending response. Overall, would not recommend paying $70 for one night for 4 people who stayed in two tents rather than 1. Will not ever recommend Heartland based on this experience. Save your money and go to a provincial park with transparent fees, professionalism, and quality of services on site. Or better yet, go to the bush and camp there as you will be getting the same experience without paying the money.

Super bad mannered lady! my dad is not really good at English and she didn’t even have the patience to explain for him where our site was she was screaming and yelling even at me when I was trying to help him! Like what?!second, the electricity was very unstable for rv and the water wasn’t really clean! The bathroom were the portable bathrooms and because the electricity was unstable we had to go to the public shower really dirty and not clean! I DO NOT recommend coming here bad quality if it weren’t all the other places were full we would have never stayed here! Would give 0 star if I could!

Porta-potties are not cleaned or stocked with toilet paper frequently enough. Even after frequent complaints, no solutions. We left early because of the stink.Bring long hoses and power cords because you're pretty much on your own to figure out water and power. (They provided a long extension cord, but it never had any power during our stay. We plugged into the wash house.) You also have to carry all your trash out with you! No garbage bin at $45/night? We are tourists; we can't leave it on the curb at our house--or should we make dump runs?Communication with owners is not good--never actually saw their faces. $3/shower, but good luck getting them to open it for you. And if you cross the owner, you'll get a rude response.Otherwise, nice enough location.Won't go back. Do not recommend. Too many RV parks in the area to put up with this.
