I took paddle-board lessons here. Our friendly instructor, Pierre, took time to make sure at the end of 2 sessions we are able to enjoy SPB independently.He also gave us a tour of the facilities in the centre. I am very eager to join the club!

Private club with little value for general public. Ma y be if you are on Team Manitoba or a club member, you can get a canoe there. But for a regular Manitoba family, countrary to what this Google map says, canoe rentals are almost never open. The days and hours posted for rentals are different, only two days of the week and only seven till nine pm.

I only use it in winter, as an access point for walking the dog along Churchill Drive, but it's convenient and easy to get to. There is a little parking lot just off the street, and it's a good place to get down onto the river so you can walk along the ice trail.In summer it's usually very busy with paddlers but they have good docks and launch spaces where we like to pull out after a long paddle through the city.

My daughter was on a Dragon Boat team. Parking isn't easy on competition days but the area was well set up and they'd brought in food trucks!
