The Cridge Young Parent Outreach Program
There’s a statue at the Cridge (which used to be an orphanage at one time) with an adult reaching down to help a child. The plaque has this sentiment inscribed “We honour the overcoming spirit of courage in those we have been privileged to serve since 1873, and of those who yet will overcome.” The human spirit and the willingness of people to help those in need is a beautiful thing, and places like this and the people who help to make them possible make the world a better place.
