Hertz Car Rental - Queensway HLE

Wish I had read reviews. What people are saying is unfortunately true. This Hertz on Queensway is a waste of time and money. Zero customer service skills. Poor explanations of terms. One month later 4000$ in Preauthorized payments are not back in my account. Told to contact customer service, customer service tells me to contact bank bank tells me get an email and receipts from physical location. What a run around.

I booked a Tesla a week ago with Hertz Queensway, I go to the office and they tell me I have to call before coming in to the office as they have no cars available, even though I had received a reservation confirmation by email. I booked again to pick up today, I have been calling them for 3 days now, no calls are being responded to, not even a basic courtesy of calling back. The last time I went they told me to call before coming for the pick up, I tried calling and no one picked up, not sure what to do in that scenario. The email sent out by Hertz has a reservation number, which means they should have the car ready to be picked up, instead they say call before coming and they don’t even pick up. I don’t understand the point of a confirmation email or even calling them. Terrible service.

I hadn't tried to drive a tesla before i visited to this location they gave me model Y according to my reservation. Mukul helped me by explaining every single features of the EV overall,it was a good experience renting with them. I recommend this location to everyone.

Reservations are pointless. When you call them to make sure the car is available they always say not available. And they never call you back when one is available even after 2 weeks and making multiple reservations.

I came here to get a car for uber and 2 other persons as well.They are saying that they dont have any cars for next 2-3 weeks but they didn’t update it with uber.However,I Didn't have the change to go back to Scarborough by paying TTC, so the reception lady helped me and That's why i changed my 1★ into 3★

Writing this because the location left me with a bad experience and I will not come back here again.They didn’t give us the Tesla Y we booked a month ago for an equivalent for the Y and they only gave us $20 off the Y price AND a model 3 in exchange (vs. Discounting the model 3 price which is cheaper than a model y).Made us call around to find a replacement. The other hertz locations were more helpful at finding us a rental than here. Part of customer service is helping your customers, not telling us to do the work ourselves for your mistake. Kept using excuses about stores not linked instead of getting on the phone and calling around to other locations nearby.Ended up going to another location which went above and beyond to not only exchange the car they gave us, but gave us our model Y instead.The two stars is because the staff was short handed so not enough staff to deal with the volume of people in the store, which is not their fault. the other star is because the clerk attempted to give a discount. To the manager - get more staff and work on your customer service training for that location.

Hertz is quite possibly the worst car rental service available. Avoid if possible. I rented a car on NYE 2022 off the app Hopper picking up in MTL at the airport and dropping off at the Queensway location. 1 day rental with a drop off at 6pm. I dropped it off early with the place closed and put the keys in the deposit. (Side note: upon arrival there was a furious man trying desperately to grab his confirmed rental so he could work Uber and couldn't believe their hours didn't match what he was specifically told. I didn't think much of it and went on my way.) Fast forward a week and I have a bill for over $800 claiming it's a 3 day rental. When I called customer service (in the Philippines apparently, nothing local), the best they could do was e-mail this branch with an inquiry and asked that I check my bank over the week to see if anything gets refunded. They would not be following-up, they said. I asked for the rental record they had on file in MTL and that also showed it was a 3 day rental. Maybe I neglected to read the fine print, I thought. Thankfully I found our original agreement which clearly stated it was always meant to be a 1 day rental - so whatever miscommunication occurred was clearly on their part. Who knows what would have happened had I not had it. At the very least - keep your rental agreement until everything is finalized. Should've been obvious, but never had this issue until renting from Hertz.

I rented a tesla from this location. The car was like new. Customer service was also super good. Vatsal and parth helped me out and fulfilled all my requirements.

I have been calling for days and no response at anytime. I have been call to rent a car and no one have call me back. And it's look like all the hertz locations are doing the same thing and we as uber drives are not getting gas car rent out to us. All hertz are only looking to rent out tesla to uber drivers and not everyone wants to drive a tesla . I'm not the only driver talking about it.
