Beautiful manson with interesting chronology. We attended a guided tour and quite enjoyed it. Hopefully the city will restore this amazing historical site and turn it into a museum.

I mean obviously it's abandoned, and the inside is not accessible legally but it's still an interesting place to see. Especially if you read into the history of it. It's a shame that nothing is being done with it. Also there's a rumor that a light in a second story window is supposed to always be on, but nothing like that could be seen.

I was so excited to visit Auchmar and share some documentation passed down from my ancestors. I went to arrange a visit only to find the lady who runs it also runs with the protests (convoy etc). on parliament hill. Quite ironic to be working in a home that once housed someone who helped build the country..not tear it down.
