BUDOGU ZEN ~武道具 禅~ | BUDOGU ZEN is a local martial arts equipment store located in Richmond, BC. We are the first and only store with Japanese Craftsman who can support everybody's needs. Japanese Craftsman, Kazuki Unzei, has trained for 6 years at TOZANDO JAPAN. After that he resides in Canada since 2017 as a craftsman.

I got them repairing Kendo Kote (Gloves). There was a hole on each side of it, but after it was repaired, the hole was completely gone. The leather is soft and comfortable. Their repairs were professional and I can enjoy kendo again. Thank you for your hard work and effort. I'll take them for my next repair as well.

They have awesome kendo gear and also offers patching/repairing service. I asked them to shorten my tsukagawa and they did a perfect job :) would definitely recommend!

These guys are awesome. Quality goods straight outta Japan and very accessible via social media, email, etc! They respond fairly quickly and I've used their kote repair services as well. My favorite pair is like 15+years old and they repaired it to like brand new. Thank you Budogu Zen!!

The quality of equipment and customer service speaks for itself. The added value I wish to share is that Budogu Zen is based in Canada and sponsors Canadian dojos and tournaments. Sensei Tsuyoshi Hamanaka has been on Team Canada and Sensei Kazuki Unzei developed his craftsmanship in Japan. The blend of supporting Canadian kendo and providing Japanese quality craftsmanship makes Budogu Zen the clear choice for all of my equipment requirements. If you are lucky you may even get to learn from them.

I had a great experience at Budogu Zen. I was very concerned about ordering a Bogu online and not fitting properly, but Budogu Zen was extremely helpful at guiding me through the process of taking measurements and ensuring everything was going to work well. The Bogu arrived on time, it fits perfectly and quality is exactly as advertised. They have great communication and friendly customer service.
